  about 300+....but not sure if the shop is still around...

  i went to one tailor shop in toa payoh...

  pretty good

  No la.. me going overseas in April.. need formal wear to meet VIP hosts..

  I'm getting quotes for tailoring suit for myself and other friends. Hunted down the whole of Far East Plaza ytd.

  4th or 5th floor...

  or if u got the time...thailand is not so bad also..

  try G2000 loh...now got sales leh...

  tailored of coure satisfy ma...

  i only got 1.

  mine was not cheap... mum paid for it. So it was o.k. lol

  G2000.. dont remind me.. dont remind me.. got the jacket i like but no matching pants. When there is sale, pants and jackets sold separately.. in the end always no pants.. kns..

  Lol.. buy air ticket to thailand liao.. told costs also the same, if not more.

  those off the shelves one, the cutting usually got some slack, bring to tailor, the sides and the length etc, can be altered one ...

  go bangkok..they can tailor the suits exactly like those armani kinds, even got catalogue for you to choose from!

  Go bangkok, Pattaya or Phuket and do tailoring there.

  If your company is sponsoring you the cost of the tailoring, or at least subsidising it.  You can try City Plaza shops for decent & cheap men tailoring service.

  Go for  One dark jackets/blazers and maybe two pairs of matching pants.

  Avoid those full polyester or those wool materials, you dont want static at winter country and you wont want being roasted at summer countries.

  There is another tailor shop at the basement of Katong Shopping Centre that is quite good too.

  I tailor my shirts at CYC, and have people copy the cut and design at those cheapo neighbourhood seamstress shops.

  Gowns, cheongsums & suits, I do at City Plaza & Katong Shopping Centre.

  Ex's suits are done at City Plaza.

  If not polyester and wool.. that what other materials are there? ahaha.. as far as I know the recommended is wool blends.. meaning cashmere-wool or cashmere-wool-poly etc..

  Thailand out of the question lor.. in any case.. i manage to get "student prices" quotations from tailors at Far East. Anywhere from $150-250 for Polyester and $200-350 for Wool blends. Inclusive of full satin linings and other frills such as customized names on the blazers.

  I know the prices are already very VERY competitive as compared to ready-made. But I thinking of getting quotes and info from other places just to compare.
