cool.. then no need to go tailor make already..Originally posted by Gedanken:Yeah, it's luck of the draw, really - get a bad tailor and it'll really suck. The good news for me is that size 52C for Hugo Boss sits perfectly on me, and all I have to do is get the waist of the pants taken in a bit.
Yuh huh - the crappy stuff that school uniforms are made of.Originally posted by laurence82:wait a minute
isnt polyester the plastic-like material that you can get burnt if you put the iron on it for too long?
Exactly. That said, I might go a few steps up next and go Brioni, but at least I can count on their tailoring.Originally posted by bluejuice:cool.. then no need to go tailor make already..

That iron's too hot then. Take it down a notch and use spray or steam.Originally posted by Pitot:SPF uniform also has polyester, when i iron it after awhile it will become shiny.

Well, white or blue for the shirts ought to go with most things if you're not looking at getting a whole bunch at one shot.Originally posted by fairlady_xoxo:Shirts...i bought skirts and pants le...now all that's left are...shirt, shoes and bag....
Melted, more precisely.Originally posted by laurence82:yesh
polyester, when 'shiny', means its burnt

Socks always match the pants, not the shoes. You only wear white socks with black pants and shows if you're in New Delhi.Originally posted by laurence82:i cant find those fashion rules
for example, black shoes and black pants dont go well with white socks
or
its always light top, dark bottom
stuff like that

Cuffs of pants should just about reach the bottom of the shoe's heels.
Shirt cuffs should reach the base of the palm, and jacket sleeves should always be shorter than shirt sleeves. Show cuff and plenty of it.
Jacket lapel should be of the same maximum width as the tie.
The tie should reach the belt line - too short and you look like Dilbert.
If you're building up a suit/office wardrobe, start with navy, then black - they're the easiest to match.
Belt and shoes should be the same colour.
Blue and brown do not go together.
And for crying out loud, no plastic pens or watches.
Sure they can, but it looks like fairlady's just starting to build up a wardrobe, so let's cover the basics first.Originally posted by bluejuice:ladies can wear more than those colors la..
