The temors happened twice this afternoon:
1st tremor happened exactly @ 12 noon on the hour
2nd tremor also happened exactly @ 2 p.m. on the hour

The 1st swaying lasted about 20 seconds, which made me feel real giddy
The 2nd swaying lasted about 15 seconds, also quite strong
It is reported that an earthquake of 6.3 hit Sumatra. Some parts in West M'sia could feel the tremors just as what happened in S'pore.
Will the tremors lead us to the way like what happened to Lemuria & Atlantis
Are we heading for another destruction?

Tremors felt in Singapore after quake rocks Sumatra

Singapore's Meteorological Services Division said an earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter Scale struck Padang, Indonesia at about 11.50am on Tuesday.
The epicentre was 50 kilometres north-northeast of Padang, on the island of Sumatra in Indonesia and some 430 kilometres south-west of Singapore.
Tremors were also felt in many parts of Singapore.
Callers to the MediaCorp News Hotline said they felt tremors in areas such as Beach Road, Jalan Besar, Robinson Road, Shunfu and Toa Payoh.
Some buildings, like the Concourse at Beach Road, Capital Square and Centennial Tower in the city, and even Ngee Ann Polytechnic in Clementi, were evacuated.
Witnesses said several tall buildings in the central business district swayed slightly.
Traders said there was little or no impact on financial markets trading.

A second round of tremors have been felt in Singapore.
Callers to the MediaCorp News hotline said they felt the tremors again at around 1.50pm.
This came just two hours after the first tremors were reported at about 11.50am.
The calls had come from various parts of the island including Ang Mo Kio, Aljunied, Circuit Rd, Choa Chu Kang, Serangoon, Admiralty, Woodlands and Whampoa.
One caller from Aljunied area reported feeling the tremors twice - once on 11.48am and another one at 1.53pm. -

Quake hits Sumatra, tremors felt in Singapore

JAKARTA : A 6.3-magnitude earthquake hit Indonesia's Sumatra island on Tuesday, damaging houses and causing panic and a power cut, but there were no immediate reports of casualties, reports said.
The quake struck at 10:49am (0349 GMT), the US Geological Survey said, and was felt in cities including Bukit Tinggi, West Sumatra, where power cuts were reported.
It caused panic as people fled buildings, and houses were damaged in Solok, south of Bukit Tinggi, reports said.
Indonesian police said at least four people were killed in the quake.
The quake was also felt in Singapore.
It occurred in a mountainous area 49 kilometres (30 miles) northeast of the West Sumatra capital Padang, the US organisation said.
Indonesia's national Meteorology and Geophysics Agency estimated the quake at a lower magnitude of 5.8.
The Indonesian archipelago sits on the Pacific Ring of Fire where continental plates meet, causing frequent seismic and volcanic activity. - AFP/ch -
