Do ants die if microwaved?

As above.
Cos just now I wanted to heat up food. Then I saw ants in my microwave eating the crumbs of yesterday's KFC. So I just thought of heating up the food anyway.
To my surprise, the ants are still alive. How like that? Shouldn't they be burnt or have some internal microwave damage in their bodies? -
i think it their body's structure or something.

I saw a documentory in Korea. Cockroaches can tolerate high levels of radiotion. Basically, cockroaches will out-love humans if there's a global nuclear catastrophe. Imagine a world of cockroaches feasting on our dead bodies.
Well, i supp most bugs will have similar attributes. -
maybe the microwave's wavelength is too long and the ant is too small so the waves by pass the ant

Ants in fact can withstand Nuclear Radiation.

Actually, the ant's endoskeleton structure is very different... They can withstand radioactive exposure and microwave exposure...

Your microwave is lousy, missed the spots the ants were at.

The ant's exoskeleton probably reflected alot of the microwaves away so need higher power and longer time to cook the ants. The ants should be affected as microwaves cook by vibrating water molecules and there is quite a bit of water in the ants...... in short... Get a better Microwave!

Well, I did set the temperature to low and turn it to only 3 mins. But then my food is hot what.. cant be microwave spoilt... -
If you bo liao enuf can go try microwaving ants at different power settings and watch them pop.
