Wats the diff between American accent and British accent??

Actually, it's better for you to hear them for yourself. The actors in the Harry Potter movies have British accents (save for the ones who play foreign characters). Programmes like CSI, Survivor, etc have mainly American casts (I'm not good at differentiating Canadian accents from USA varieties though). Or contrast Simon Cowell's tongue with that of the rest of the American Idol crew.

I like the Brit accent much better. It sounds so high and mighty.
The worst has got to be the Deep Southern American accent. Nasal and twangy. Just listen to George Clooney in the movie "O Brother Where art Thou" and you'll know what I mean. -

I'm from the U.S., and I speak with an American accent. I was born in S'pore, but went over when I was five, and have been there for almost twenty years now. What I usually notice is that the British tend to emphasize their short "a's", as in the word "class." The Americans would say the word with the long "a." Also, Americans tend to roll their "r's." It would depend, however, on which part of the U.S. a person is from. Folks from the East Coast tend to adopt more of a "New England" accent. That is, they do not pronounce their "r's" as distinctly as those from the Midwestern or West Coast states.
There's a running joke that New Englanders say the following statement:
"The bumper sticker on my car."
New Englanders pronounce it as:
"The bumpah stickah on my cah."
It's all a matter of geography. Of course, folks from the South such as Georgia and Mississippi have their Southern accents, and even then there's variation between Georgia and Texas accents.
