  here comes the science
  
  the eggs are carried within the body of the mother scorpion... when they hatch they sorta look like the mother "gave birth to them"
  
  the baby scorpions then crawl on the back of the mother scorpion... sometimes, a few unlucky ones are eaten by the mother because scorpions are cannibalistic...
  
  the baby scorpions are helpless and harmless until their first molt where their stings and claws become active...
