LAST Friday's article ('More toilets for women') reported that the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou is set to require by law that the number of female public toilet cubicles exceed those in male toilets by 50 per cent.
In hotels, restaurants or any other public building here, one is likely to see a queue of women and girls waiting to use the toilets. This is rarely the case for men. So it is logical that there must be more restrooms for women than for men.
Unfortunately, this is not the case in most buildings and sports facilities.
Toilets should also be provided on all floors.
