in Hakka in Singapore.
For mandarin, we can use hanyu pinyi to help us to pronounce the chinese characters from Primary school.
For Hakka, I learn to speak them by remembering how the elders say them. Is there really a pronounciation system used for Hakka words ?
For English Language, basically we learnt how to pronounce the English words by remembering how the teachers, news readers say the words.
There is the international phonetic pronounciation system that can be used to help us to pronounce the English words but strangely the system is not taught to Primary, Secondary and JC students in Singapore. It has been puzzling why is the system not taught to students in Singapore.

ya, on top of the above ways, there are the some other ways (like Singaporean) respectively are:
Mandarin: ä½ å–œæ¡åƒä»€éº½ï¼Ÿ
Hakka: (ngi fon hi sit mak ke)
Mandarin: 早
Hakka: (sit zau)
Mandarin: 真好
Hakka: (hau hau sit)
Mandarin:
Hakka: (to ts'ia)
Mandarin: 晚上一起晚飯好嗎?
Hakka: (am pu it ha sit ia hau mau)
etc.
Generally there originally is many variations of Hakka already, therefore slight different usage of vocabulary and tones. Luckily, the different varieties of Hakka used in Singapore is still mutually intelligible due to large number of ancestors from T'ai Pu , Ho P'o and Moi Yen.
The pronunciation scheme used above is exactly from the video clip pronounced.
Standard Hakka dictionary published in China for the linguists uses the IPA while those targetted for the mass literati uses a modified form of Hanyu Pinyin. Hakka tools published in Taiwan tends to use their own haphazard system based on closest approximate pronunciation or based on Zhuyin Fuhao.

As what Seowlah said, it doesn't reflect the actual Hakka spoken in Singapore. But well, it's better than nothing. The Hakka in Singapore seriously needs some revival as they are on the verge of dying off already
Feel free to contribute too =)
I agree, Hakka in Sg needs revival. Hi everyone, I belongs to the Dabu Hakka group but I guess mine is more towards the Moiyen. Anyway, I used to be good in Hakka dialect when I was much younger but as time goes by, I lost touch with it when opportunity of speaking it got lesser and lesser.
I understand that Hakka dialect has got 7 different tones, which are 3 more tones than Mandarin. It is not difficutl to find articles on the tones over the Internet but I just couldn't find any audio or video files that teach these tones. I am sure knowing these tones will greatly aid in the learning of Hakka. Would be so glad if someone can point me to a link that has these files:) Thanks!
One site I find rather useful: http://host.ryjh.tyc.edu.tw/~ryjh088/frame/frame_gau3.htm
Just wish to share this:)
I have contacted Nanyang Khek community guild, and Char Yong (Dabu) association Sg, and both replied that they don't provide any courses on Hakka dialect. However, Char Yong did tell me that there would be one coming up soon. Though he didn't say how soon, I left my contact with him, and hopefully the association would call me up in no time notifying me of the course details. Would sure to update when that happens:)

We should help each other in helping to continue the dialects.
Only minority Hakka not usually found in Singapore has 7 tones, whereas usual Dabu Hakka & Moiyen Hakka have 6 tones.
Hope you are able to pursue your Hakka courses at the associations and update us when that happens.
