  some of my cantonese friends can speak hokkien better than their own dialects

  yea, my parents speak cantonese as well, and my Dad also speaks Teochew.. i feel ashamed that I can't hold a fluent conversation in hokkien with my grandparents, while my younger cousins do so without breaking a sweat.
