Mate poaching is a robust phenomenon, and it is here to stay. When single women see a moderately attractive male, they are more interested in him if they believe he is already in a relationship! In fact, one sizable study found 90 percent of single women were interested in a man who they believed was taken, while a mere 59 percent wanted him when told he was single.
where is this "sizable study"?
That mentioned study was probably done in a western country ..rather difficult to believe the high percentage.
Came across this article in https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/apologies-freud/201210/why-women-want-married-men
I think that mentioned study is a 2009 study done in Oklahoma State University. It involved 184 students. 184? I don't consider that sizable.(https://www.newscientist.com/article/dn17619-its-true-all-the-taken-men-are-best/)
With a married man, the girls are going for just a short fling/1 nite stand.
If single, maybe the girls tend to look at the man in a serious-relationship kind of way? Just my hantam guess.

yeah, the article also said something like that
"Because for some single women, a relationship with a man who is married gives you breathing room. You are not accountable to him if you want to see a male friend or past lover."

The question asked is likely directed to single girls who are going for sex enjoyment and excitement. So I should say it is better to go for married men. Married men know how to satisfy girls in sex. They know what you want and they can play with you as long as you want. Usually you will get full satisfaction from them unlike inexperienced single men who usually ejaculate long before you get what you want.
