However, I firmly believe that objectivity works both ways. If you want me to be objective, then I will expect you to be objective as well. Have your say, but remember your basic manners. If you want to ask anything about Islam, do ask nicely.
If it's your intention to unfairly slur Islam and be liberal with the tar and brush then I won't hesistate to close any offending threads.
The same goes to any Muslims who would dare slur other religions and beliefs on this forum. If you don't want to accept the beliefs of others, then that's your choice. But you still have an obligation to be tolerant and understanding of others and to treat everyone with the utmost kindness regardless of their beliefs.
Cross the line, and I'll close the thread and issue a stern warning to any offenders.

So here goes,
Why does Islam insists that Muslims cannot convert? The way I understand it, a person is considered a Muslim when he is born into a Muslim family.
Islam cannot show anybody any evidence of Allah or the existence of Allah just like Christains cannot prodeuce Jesus in front of everyone to see and just as Biddhist cannot show any evidence that if you meditate hard enough you can fly around with your legs crossed.
But all the others do not insist that people must follow them whereas Islam; like in the case with the Iraqi, on the pain of execution cannot come out of their religion. -
actually even if the website is based on elsewhere bt u are a singapore citizen or/and under singapore law, u will still get it. and even if the moderators says its ok, but some busybody go report to press, etc, den u still will get it. heck, even if u're a singaporean, not in singapore and comments on a non-singapore website - u might still get it.

The Qur'an says:"Let there be no compulsion in the religion"
In the Quran too, there is nothing mentioned about punishment for apostates.
So when you mention, "Islam insists that Muslims cannot convert... " this is in fact a fallacy.
As for your mention that Islam is the only religion which practise compulsion, I beg to differ on this as from what i know Christianity and other religions also practise forms of punishment on defectors or apostates, whatever word you wish to call them. -

Aiyah. Who are you all to debate which is wrong and which is right?? Are all of you scholars in your own right? Why can't all just acccept each other religions. If you may find flaws in any religion why can't you just accept it? If we lived the time about thousands of years ago, then can debate la. Now what is there to debate? Everything is over. Everything is in place now. We have all sorts of religions now. Anyway, you all are not debating. You all are just critizing each other. And thats soooOOooOo wrong. Thank you.

We are not scholars, or I am not, but I think we're all here just trying to understand each others' religions. Even tho we may not have absolute answers, but not to question is i dont know, worse to me. -
