"Khun Lao", they replied (Laotian) and that was a surprise to me. [/b]
Ihsan girls will not say that they are Laotians, surely! Thai people think of themselves as superior to many of their neighbors.Originally posted by Short Ninja:Those are the Ihsan girls from Northeastern Thailand
Ihsan people are Thai Citizens but most are Ethnic laotian. So technically its not wrong for the Ihsan Chicken to say 'Unker Andrew ar not say iI wat ar achilly I am a Lao' (of course she also didnt use Singlish but that was what she was trying to say>Originally posted by AndrewPKYap:Ihsan girls will not say that they are Laotians, surely! There was an uproar in Laos when one of the Thai singers (a fews years back) made a comment, something like, "You think you are a Laotian, issit?" (of course she didn't use Singlish to say that and that is not what she said and it is only an example.)
The countries around Thailand tune in to Thai entertainment because Thailand is so dominant in the region.
