It's like a dream man.. woooohoo!
But I'll need to get someone to remove the soundproofing boards and repaint the room for me before I can move anything in.
Ideally, I'll have a sky-themed ceiling...
A loft bed with a sofa underneath, also decorated with my favorite stuff and photo frames...
And then I'll have a nice oil painting on the wall....
My study table at one side...
Pretty curtains...ooooooo...
But there's still the balcony. It's been locked for years and the key is with my uncle, who's now in England. We could cut the lock, but the balcony has an antenna and the piece of thing shading the balcony (at the top) is probably in shambles.
Maybe I could seal off that door and I won't have anything to do with that dirty ugly balcony.
Got potential... maybe a bit.Originally posted by the_don:wow!!! that is a room full of potiental!!! take your time ya? ii'm slowly adding pieces to my room, it's still in boxes even though i've moved in more then 6 months ago. any way to make use of your balcony? i love balconies. i use to sit outside with a book and a cup of tea when i was in aus..... haiz.. those where the days....

This house is very old... 29 years already!
The room is actually located on the third storey, a place that has felt haunted to me ever since my uncle moved out. I've had nightmares about it - mysterious hidden doors that lead to huge areas beyond among others.
And the room was left vacant and used to put junk left behind by my aunts. So it's like, pretty run-down.
The bathroom flooring is ugly. The little tiles are not chipped, but the colors are patchy. And the toiletbowl looks creaky.
It needs a facelift. But I only have enough money to pay for the paint job.
A loft bed is like a bunk bed, but instead of having a bed below, it's an empty space which you can make use of... say, put a sofa or clothes drawers or study table.Originally posted by deathscythe99:Wad is loft bed?
Sorry la....

Aiyah, it's an elevated bed.
Best loft bed in the Ikea catalog is the one that can be turned upside down to make it a lower bed.
Actually I'm hesitating about the loft bed... cos I'm afraid to sleep in it.
I do hope so...Originally posted by the_don:hummm..... a good paint job would liven up the place. take your time, little by little and i'm sure your room would become your castle
What if I roll down?Originally posted by the_don:why afraid leh? quite cute leh the bed.

I think I'll paint the stairway as well... It's a dull shade of green now... I think if I paint it a brighter color, it'll help to take away the scary scary feeling.

But a loft bed is actually a very good buy, because the bed is so high up, you don't get the temptation to lie there when you're studyingAnd it's cleber use of space.

so u getting rid of the stereo? hummmm.. i foresee that u will just buy something else to take it's place
