罗嘉良,万梓良,郑裕玲,郑少秋 etc are much better artistes.

i lost count.
mom used to watch these things... the only thing i remember was in this show called 天龙八æ¥, this guy was paralysed on the ground and a bunch of creepy crawlies like scorpions and centipedes committed suicide by crawling into his mouth...
the paralysed guy suddenly became very powerful after a while
singapore drama has been of low standard for a long long time. Maybe this is the problem of having all the channels under one house. I used to watch quite a bit of HK dramas and what I have noticed is, besides the well written intricate scripts, they also have great actors. Give them a happy scene where a family is sharing jokes with one another, they do it so naturally. I felt like it was so genuine and heartwarming. I can't say the same for family scenes on Sg tv....they look so manufactured.
Another thing is the quality of extras on our TV, once I hear them speak Mandarin, it's alrdy a bloody turn off. And they can't act for nuts sake. But take a look at HK dramas and even the cleaner who appears for jus 5 seconds will act so professionally. No bull about this!
The taiwanese have developed a niche for idol dramas, koreans have their melancholy and humour, the hongkies have their versatility in various genres.....even the Thais have created their own brand of action and horror shows. What about Singapore? Family oriented shows in the fucking HDB estate is all you get. What about our movies? Everything is jack neo related.
although Jerk Neo was in it, 12 storeys was good...
and so was The Blue Mansion...
not everything is Jerk Neo related...
*somewhere, i hear someone whisper "15 by Royston Tan"
well, of cos these are good movies i'm sure but still, sg is the jack neo family oriented market lol. A few years ago there was this good movie acted by lim kay tong, him being a taxi driver and his geylang massacre.

The first short version of 15 was good... The long version which became the movie was treated as gay show in some countries...

local artistes cant seem to make it without cross dressing.
frankly it sucks.
u mean auntie lucy haha.....
jerk neo was also a drag act..
i think a lot of the unfunny "comedy" acts were also in drag.. they were all bad.. the worst unfunny comedy act is our Prime Minister's husband...
i dont understand what is so interesting about such acts.
singaporeans just seem to like it so much.
Too much of aunty lucy really disgusting. The humour from jack neo is always the same. No change at all....

If I see that bast*rd, I will punch him......
The point is TCS do not know which type of dramas to go for...they lose out both to HK and taiwan...
look at kenny Bee and the rest of the cast and ask whether we have the type of people to act
