If Ou Xuan didn't have the Juxiang role, maybe only the YueNiang's role, she may stand a chance. She could play the mute character well and her sign language was terrible. She moves so slowly and gracefully in the kitchen, machiam like dancing ballet (yes, she learnt ballet before). Didn't look like someone who can cook very well and does housechores. When she played the role of Juxiang, she was too conscious about looking pretty and graceful. Failed to do the role convincingly. If she wins, I boo mediacorp management and throw paint at them lor!

I saw on today's evening papers frontpage that Ng Hui is the hot favourite for best supporting role in The Little Nyonya.
How come no mention of Joanna Peh? Her role as a mad girl is anytime better than Ou Xuan's deaf and dumb girl.

Ju xiang not bad ma....i dunno abt the ballet in the kitchen part lol. Sign language was not developed in the 1920s and what more for an uneducated Nyonya who doesn't step out of the house.
Her eyes are expressive and u can see the pain and determination all the time.
Yue niang is the clone
. I think Jeannette is the big winner this time.I also think this is ng hui's best performance ever.
And charlie zhang (desmond shen) should get the baddie of the year!! hahaha!! old bird is old bird. But i cant say the same for his son robert (and dunno wtf's his real name). Doesnt mean if u slit up the eyes and look fierce, means u r a bad guy. Desmond shen does it with poise and finesse, without exaggerated displays yet strong portrayal of the ultimate baddie aura.
Ah man....and i love pierre png's character.....his heart nvr stopped thinking of ju xiang even though she had another man. This sort of loyalty is rare these days.
