On Saturday 3rd February 2007, our local Star Wars and Star Trek communities will come together for an inaugural blood donation event, which will then continue as a year long challenge to determine which group will be the winner of the coveted Blood Wars Challenge Trophy.
Friendly competition aside, the objective of the event is to encourage more
people to become blood donors and help the BloodBank@HSA meet the blood
transfusion needs in Singapore. Every year, the BloodBank faces blood supply
shortages, especially during the holiday season.
In appreciation of blood donations received during the event, each blood
donor will receive a FREE photo printout (Limited to 1st 100 donors) taken
together with Star Wars and Star Trek characters who will be present
throughout the event.
