AND baby makes three.
Diana Ser and her husband, actor-turned-banker James Lye, 37, are set to welcome their first baby, Jacob Lye.
The 34-year-old TV host is delivering her son, who will be called Jake for short, this morning via a caesarean section.
In an interview with The New Paper before she went to the hospital yesterday, Diana said that she was 'excited and a little bit frightened.'
She couldn't go through a natural birth because she had surgery early last year to remove fibroids from her womb.
When asked why the name Jake, the new mum said with a little laugh: 'You should ask his daddy. He picked the name.'
Diana, who is the host of Channel NewsAsia's talkshow Get Rea!, will be leaving MediaCorp next month.
'Technically I am on maternity leave right now. My contract ends in mid-November,' she said.
Diana said she hadn't really given much thought about her post-MediaCorp plans.
'I will take three months to look after my baby and I will seriously think about my plans then.
'It depends on what happens in the next few months.'
When pressed, all she would add is that she is exploring options in the media line.
'I am talking to a couple of parties right now but it's too premature to give details,' she said. -
