Hi guys,
I just joined this sgforums and before i joined, I'm supposed to agree on the terms set by this forum. I think most ppl don't read the rules and regulations before agreeing to join this forum, but I know that Singapore's a lawful society where freedom of speech in forums have to abide. Please click on the 'register' link on the left of this page and you will see the rules and regulations. I'm appalled by the fact that most ppl are posting ignorantly messages that can get them into unfavorable lawful suits.
I'm a nobody, but I want to remind everyone abt the hidden clauses in this forum. MLM good or no good, we can mention our personal opinions, but any judgemental comments towards tarnishing any individual or commercial reputation, pls be tactful.
I'm also a networker and I feel this trade has too many exposed black sheeps and unrecognised heroes. Honestly, how many truly found the real value of rekindling the passion and courage towards doing something for a cause.
Forgive me if I offended anyone in my messages, this forum should be one that's encouraging and tactful.

I've a hard time reading all these post. Quite sad that ppl are flaming one another when things dun worked out.
IMHO, I see that alot of ppl have misunderstood and really have no idea what MLM is about. I am not one either. I dun call myself an expert for this but at least I will be truthful to what I am gonna post.
A few questions on my mind after I read:
When things gone wrong, do they really post exactly what had happen when they couldn't get back their refund?
If one can state that they are earning big bucks in NTI, do you seriously believe?
Do we give one another the benefits of doubts to support one claim? Do we give ppl in NTI a chance to explain and those who thinks tat they are cheated to give their side of story?
Who exactly is James Phang? Why till now I see that those working under him is SO LOYAL to him and his company? -

Victims and ex agents shared their experience, and we specifically point to sections of the MLM Act or laws of contracts in which we find nti operations doubtful.
Some came up to challenge why the picture of nti indonesia building look doctored, or why one could buy exact same products from Taiwan for half the price.
The point is, nti agents could have come forward to explain, since the orginal thread was there for long time b4 these explosions of threads.
And what do we get? Defiled national song making claims of nti expansions and growth, accusations of backstabbing, name callings. Pls do point me specifically to a post by any nti agent or supporter that rebutt these points one by one, and logically.
We got a whole lot of agitated people out there. Whatever happened to consumer rights anyway, if they felt cheated but were threatened defamation suits if they express any dissatisfaction with the company? -

We had a lawyer who said no.
About claims, i repeat to you what i said to sanctuary in the above post. Did any single nti agents give a point for point rebuttal to those points in the original topic that was set up by GHOST two years ago?
Sure, you can call these claims, but is there counter argument? Does this defiled national day song claiming nti growth and expansion a really good counter argument?
Lastly, your definition of loyalty is very subjective. There is sumthing called blind faith as well. Heard death cults like Jim Jones' People Temple and the 900 over deaths in a suicide bid? So is loyalty a good measure of honesty and righteousness?
Sorry seriously ,if it offend u, but i have to question subjective measures like loyalty that people would use to measure integrity, in this case, of a company. -

Actuali, i came to realise that there's no point in "debating" abt NTI...those who wanna join, just go ahead lor....those who feel that NTI's sh!T, then dun join...
It's their decision on whether to join or not...in simple, it's their problem.
However so, some ppl whom had joined NTI n regretted for their decision, came in to forums, hoping to warn ppl into joining NTI. -

But if i am not wrong, and i hope the older peeps would correct me if it is, a company only need to declare its overall profits and such.
Personal income is the duty of the person to declare when the annual tax declaration exercise come.
We shld be also particularly concerned about moonlighting. If you are a full timer working for a company, check if the company allows you to do other businesses. In actual fact, most will never declare.
But in SAF, its a big no no, whether for NSFs or Regulars. Pls dont allow others to sabo you by exposing you doing MLM or other businesses outside. DB is not a nice place to be in. -

it's nice to read widely. but readers beware.... many books out there may not be entirely true with the things written and it's up to the readers discretion. There have been many so called gurus who have written books, got very famous, and later discredited. In the mist, alot of ppl who believed in them and did what they advocate got into trouble. some books are designed to make it a very good read for the readers but are filled with alot of misleding informations. plus it doesnt mean that if that book is on best seller means what it teaches are true. it just meant that people enjoy reading them. I have read many business and finance related books. Personally, I've read 8 of Robert Kiyosaki's books, they are very popular with MLMers as RK is an advocater of MLM. However they offer very little financial knowledge to the average readers, except that it's good to be rich and being rich feels good and mlm is one of the ways to get rich.
Let me recommend you guys a couple of books I feel are good reads.
1. Morningstar's The Five Rules of Successful Stock Investing
2. The Intelligent Investor (All time classic for whoever is interested in business)
3. The Richest Man In Babylon (Good for beginners interested in Money)
4. The Lexus and The Olive Tree (Bascially about globalisation and how it affects the global economy)
5. The New Buffettology (A peek into some of the investment methods of the world 2nd richest man)
6. The Smartest Guys In The Room: The Amazing Rise And Scandalous Fall of Enron (This is about the company that revoluntionise the energy industry and how it eventually went down with its accounting frauds) -

In Singapore, the first $20k of your annual income is not taxable, which means, if you earn less than $20k a year, you pay 0 in taxes.

I just bring to our attention that before we first register, there are Rules, Policies and Disclaimers at the registration panel, which is there for a purpose. It is to warn us. It is for us to note that if the Local Authorities so demand, all details can be released.
If you do not notice that people are carted away do not mean that it did not happen or will not happen. I sincerely hope that no body had been carted away. It is good to know that no body had been carted away. This shows that majority of the “users” are reasonable and keep within the OB markers, and also many thanks to the good works by the mods.
Hope we all make this place a nice place for all to enjoy (and exchange our thoughts/opinions), learn from each other mistakes, and become wiser. -
