From what she and other relatives said, Teo was rather different from his brother, even at age 14. His grades were mediocre, and the disciplinary problems he gave his teachers got him expelled from school.
i doubt he'll be a private candidate.
The Normal (Technical) stream student had a fun-filled childhood with his younger brother, but became withdrawn after Zong Yi's death.
after all he was expelled due to bad behavour and is very weak in his academics.
i dont think he will have the motivation and determination to carry on studying. he would probaby work after he was expelled. -

my friend is a cpl n i'm a pte even though our highest qualification is nitec.. so i guess its the company OC tat make the decision..

I know lots of cases where o n level nia posted to sispec or combat specialist traing keng, OOC pakarpachiu never pass out as sergeat so hang like cpl lor i also saw commando ooc and paikar pakchiu drop out cpl go back reserbi

I think they up the ante .............. nowadays 3SG is equivalent to the old CPL, so Diploma and A levels gets 3SG, and others up to CPL. -

the administrative compulsory promotion to cpl rank nearing ord for a lvl and dip grad is also scrapped. under the old system, even ur rank is pte but u have a lvl/ dip, u auto promoted to cpl by mindef cpc department when near ord. but now, this will ceased. -
i rmb my orderly room chief clerk telling me that nowadays, no matter what's yr qualification. easier to get cpl already, unlike in the past where it depends on the qualification.
my fren who used to do promotions mentioned that the promoting system was tweaked a bit. no matter what, also can get cpl. but of cuz, if yr superior dun sign the form, u cant be promoted la. end of day have to make yr superior happy. -

he is being charged with illegal possession of firearms AND possession of 8 live rounds along with possession of 40cm knife.
The twist is, how did he get 8 live rounds? where did the extra 3 come from? -

If take from prowling buddy. Prowling buddy will be in trouble.
I have a feeling the 3 extra rounds might be from his previous "collection" during exercises.
Or that Camp's SOP has increased to 8 rounds.
Or worse, he is the Guard Room Orderly that day. Got access to such stuff. -

If the prosecution can prove that this was indeed the case, then it would go on to show that his entire action of stealing the rifle had been planned well in advance, and that it was not a spur of the moment thing. -
every SARS 21 and bullet should be fitted with a transponder so they can be tracked easily via satellite...

I had an inkling that he's action could be premediated, or that he is suffering from an abnormality of the mind. Don't know which.
Just one month before ORD.
Why do such a thing?
Maybe he thinks "Its now or never".
Or he is mentally ill, his judgement is impaired.
