I thought the original TS post said Mindef hotline would write a letter to the OC? What happ to that?

if his OC is really dumb enough to charge him...
tell ur bf when he gonna get charged they will ask if want to take the charge or goto summary trial.tell him not to take the charge and request summary trial.
summary trial needs senior officers present(colonel minimum).Raise the issue during summary trial.I dont believe even those senior officers present will be as dumb as this OC and ban people from reporting sick. -
as RECs, they always get threatened with charged and confinement. dun worry la, not so easy to happen. alot of procedures to get charged and like someone else mentioned, dun take the charge, request for a summary trial. but be super super super confirm u will win this case. if not, double the punishment. 2 pdf has active units, and if im not wrong, even a FDC coy.

dun serve blindly, if anything is unfair, u need to voice out, but if u do, prepare to do it all the way, during my time, i ever kan my 2WO upside down, n he admit its his fault, if ur know ur not wrong, go all the way, if i dare to challenge, means i wont lose , cos my reasons carry weight
my friend every clash wif his CSM b4, cos he complain up to CO level when hes jus a newly posted in PTE, the CSM came n challenge him
tell him, u want to play right, i will make ur 2 yrs here a living hell
my friend reply him, sure i can play wif u, i can tahan go in sit, u r a regular, u want to go in sit wif me ? we play together see who lose out more u want ?
the CSM diam, n walk away,cos he can see, hes facing a fiercer opponent who will play wif him right till the end

And this is the 1st time I heard that the men are not allowed to report sick to MO. I only heard of cases of not allow to report sick outside but never heard of not allow to report sick to MO -

ask ur bf mum to talk to MP. stat the OC's name, ur bf unit, the whole incident. dun worry, 2 bf only need to tahan 2 yrs in camp but his whole oc's career is on the line if he plays with fire n dun forget civilian are always bigger than any military personnal

TS OC siao one where got such thing cannot report sick,true he can restrict you from reporting sick outside(especially GP) but MO?Whether u chao keng or not,it not up to him to judge,it the MO.
Yeah if you want to complain,maybe go to the next higher authority your CO,i did not read the previous post so i dunno whether it is advice before or not,if CO don't bother then the next higher authority loh,maybe saf hotline or write in to the media do remember to follow the chain of command,unless of course if you are a white horse

I had fever outfield once. It started at 37.9or smth abt there.
Then I went to the medic to show him my temperature. He asked me to drink water on the spot and then take the temperature. So after gulping down some water. The temperature drop to 36.6 or smth. Then the medic smiled at me, n say, "SEee nO fever!"
So I continue training for another 2 hrs or so b4 my buddy urged me to see the medic again. So i went there, Fever was 38.5 or smth already. The medic asked me to drink water again b4 taking temperature. Then it showed 37.4. No fever he says.
So went back. So i made it a point to keep drinking water cos I really didnt feel well. Until the 3rd time, I went to see him again, 38.5 or so, he asked me to drink again... so happened my OC was around. Den I highlighted wad the medic asked me to do to him.
On the spot, the OC farked the medic, and sent me to medical center straight away. Which was damn heng, cos by the time I reach medical center to take temperature, it was already 39.8. And yes. I remember I felt like I didn't want to move but lie down somewhere cool n shady n just sleeeeep. Walking feels like you're on a bus where the bus driver like to step the break a lot.
Anyways, strangely. The MO saw me, and sent me packing home on Attend C. I asked the MO if I could stay in sick bay instead, but was refused. Im still mystified by the decision. Ended up, I had to march all the way to ferry terminal on my own, cos the COS was on duty doing "something else."
Managed to make it home and lived to tell the tale.
Moral of the story, Not all OCs are bad, and all medics are good. If you sense something wrong, ask someone. If you don't look after your own life, you'll probably lose it. -

So how's everything TS? Was reading the first few posts...and if what you are saying is true, word for word, then I think the OC is gonna get into serious trouble. It's peacetime training and he's breaching TSR blatantly...
Bewildering also to hear how the CO could not have known and done something..or even chose not to do anything..anyway hear from u soon ts...
the avenues to rectify this problem is aplenty...just need more light on the matter..
Anyway I hope ur bf is fine...and not go like things get corrected only after something have happened..like it always do... -

I'm quite sure if he goes to summary trial the senior officers present will see the point that your bf is making because I still have some faith in the SAF command structure the entire chain of command can't be that screwed up.I hope.

Yep sorry I meant Court Martial.Military law abit rusty now but from what I remember from the summary trial can request to goto court martial which must be presided over by SDO which is Colonel rank and above?
But this is all just theorycraft cos I doubt there's anyone brave enough to risk going so high up.
Anyway best regards to the poor guy and hope he manages to book out in one piece. -

We may not know the entire story here, but from this side of the story alone, there seems to be an inherent lack of leadership somewhere along the line.
The main point is, a recruit's right to see his Medical Officer should never be taken away from him as it is an entitlement. Only the Medical Officer may decide if a person is fit for training, irregardless of any other contingencies.
Safety and well-being of the troops must never be compromised at all times.
