I have friends who used to tell me that during their NS days as Coy/Platoon Medics, they faced a lot of problems with asserting their vocational expertise by higher-ranking officers who do not respect their appointment and role in the Company. -

its useful if u got contacts at high places too
so i cover my ass first...
its a big deal lor if Officers never follow directives...they can get into alot of trouble...
so its ure duty to remind them that...
i use to cite paragraphs and paragraphs of directives...until officers dun pull rank.. -

What an irresponsible and naive officer with no welfare of his men at heart. One would have thought that the recent spate of physical exertion-related deaths would have taught people a thing or two about the importance of health and training safety.

i was lucky that the MO and me are frens
most rifle coy ppl wanna keep the peace with their coy hq...
i couldnt be bothered most of the time cos bad shit happens to me alot and i noe how serious when something happens and the medics are the first one to be victimized -

It's laziness speaking when your commanders are unable to come up with a training plan that is effective and safe at the same time. -

they may get att c
most of the time they may be ordered to the sickbay...

OC visits soldier at nite....
i onli saw it once happen during NS by an Arty officer.....
he was the one that brought down the soldiers belongings like clothes...toiletries and a chinese comic...somemore arty part of the camp like at the opposite side...
he still bothered to come over..
would u rather fight for this kinda officer? -

If someone gets seriously injured, or worse still, dies from denial of medical treatment, it won't be very funny anymore.
Hopefully this OC will wake up and smell the roses, because from what is heard here, it seems that safety is being compromised, and when safety and well-being is not taken care of, then even the unit won't be ready to defend our country when needed.

Let the parents complain, because it is their right to do so if their sons are at risk of not being allowed to report sick if they are so.
