lol u simi vocation? storeman?Originally posted by vito_corleone:how many of you here are by default non-combatants but are dragged to do stuff like uber-frequent guard duty, outfield and stuff? i'm c9L2 and i'm doing an average of 4 guard duties a month, burning at least 2 weekends for the past 3 to 4 months w/o off compensation and being dragged along for countless sai kang.
step forward chiong sua non-combatants!
I thought to deploy PES C clerk outfiled depending on their L code is against regulation especially if they complained.Originally posted by blitzonic:One anecdote that comes to mind was with my unit's S1 cell. But I heard it second-hand, so not sure so much is true.
The first shock, for them, was when the order came down to load up vehicle & move out to the field. Then, instead of the usual paperwork, it was announced that the clerks -- together with some S3 ops people, the RSM group & all available lobo personnel for the S2 cell (our unit didn't really had one) -- would be participating in a POW management EX.
Role-playing, of course, but with a certain degree of realism: inverted uniforms, blindfolds, POW tags, toggle ropes (to simulate shackles), barb wire etc. As the story went, there was apparently a power play by the cliques, with the S1 group losing out & having to arrow some of its clerks as "captured enemies". As if the regimentation's not enough, some smarty PTI (attached as one of the RSM's RPs) came up with the bright idea of using medicine balls to pass off as "ball & chain"!
Only a day-long EX, but imagine how sway those PES C clerks ended up!
But we line battery troops had a good laugh when we heard about it. Not sympathetic at all. "I wanna be a Chairborne Ranger / Live the life of a paper messenger / Out of shape & out of danger ...." ~lol~
U should file a complaint cause some of these SAF superiors will tend to purposely overlook such matters.Originally posted by Unknown_X:asa by vocation but have to go other camps to recce meeting places, set up stuffs, carry 4 drawer filing cabinets when im excuse heavy load, do 2 guard duty for 1st few mths of service even though i excused rmj and prolonged standing counted?
However, most PES C clerks can be deployed to outfield, but limited to Command Post/ Rear-Line HQ duties.Originally posted by will4:I thought to deploy PES C clerk outfiled depending on their L code is against regulation especially if they complained.
Is PES C people need to go back for reservist especially those with L1 or L2 most likely to be called back?Originally posted by Unknown_X:complain? everyone expect me to do it, so i just do lor. but pes c and l code means diff things. pes c can be sent to outfield also, but diff is where they can be deployed to according to the l code. y i know? cuz i used to work in nshrc. but i can't tell wat each l code stands for and what u can do. *confidential stuff*
and to think so many nsman keep asking wat is their l code and wat it means.
If you have a PES Code, it is your responsibility to find out what it means, so that you don't waste everyone's time dicking around when personnel status is being compiled.Originally posted by Unknown_X:complain? everyone expect me to do it, so i just do lor. but pes c and l code means diff things. pes c can be sent to outfield also, but diff is where they can be deployed to according to the l code. y i know? cuz i used to work in nshrc. but i can't tell wat each l code stands for and what u can do. *confidential stuff*

I kena told those with L3 n L9 code less likely to be called back for reservist?Originally posted by LazerLordz:If you have a PES Code, it is your responsibility to find out what it means, so that you don't waste everyone's time dicking around when personnel status is being compiled.
This was drummed into us by my Formation RSM in one of my former units.
Not really.. it all depends on whether your unit needs people and your vocation. If you're a technician, then reservist is more likely to happen.Originally posted by will4:I kena told those with L3 n L9 code less likely to be called back for reservist?
i know what my pes status means and wat are the things im supposed to do. but as usual, things in the army quite 'hei ann'.Originally posted by LazerLordz:If you have a PES Code, it is your responsibility to find out what it means, so that you don't waste everyone's time dicking around when personnel status is being compiled.
