Not real studio lights. that was a lose term used on my part. Because as soon as the layman sees multiple sources of light he assumes it is a studio shoot.Originally posted by LazerLordz:First time I've heard of people setting up studio lights for army boots.
So, what were those lights? Bowens?
Sounds very pro!Originally posted by chanjyj:Not real studio lights. that was a lose term used on my part. Because as soon as the layman sees multiple sources of light he assumes it is a studio shoot.
Actually, I used 2 cheap flashguns ($60 and $90), with a i-TTL SB400 set to manual mode thats all. No diffusers, nothing. One flash bounced off ceiling, one bounced of door behind shoes, the last one is direct.
Full manual settings-Took me 2min to set up all the flashguns. I call it agaration (agar-ration). Experience with different sorts of lighting makes it a breeze (okay, that was a joke :mrgreen
If I were to use studio lights, I don't think the "shine" from the boots would have been as pronounced. Furthermore, I wanted directional lighting to show some depth.

if yes, then i haev to say no one in their right mind would wear SAF boots to work in office, even if they are brand new. people will think u are a weirdo. they will think u can't even afford a pair of decent leather shoes. will leave a bad impression.

Anyway the long pants are usually long enough to cover everything. and if it shows a little, people think it's socks (okay, I'm using the goretex one)
It's useful, esp when it's raining *big grin*
