One thing I know is that you dont have to be NCC to perfrom well in SAF.As I remembered the NCC were the ones who kena tekan the most because they know more but are selfish to work with the rest.During my time I considered them maggots.

  How can that idiot sew on thai wing and walk into sch with thai wing.. surely his teacher IC will also notice he is wearing something that is "out of place"... or the teacher IC blind?

  Anyway...IMHO,why can't the laojiaos here accept it that NCC is just a CCA and get it over with? I mean frankly yeah...I go SPF forum, never see them kpkb about NPCC. Also, no matter what...from a distance of 20m a way you can usually discern the difference between a NCC Cadet and a NSF/REGULAR etc.

  cos SPF and NPCC personnel meet each other more often than NCC and SAF personnel. we even wear the same crest.

  sure i agree its just a CCA. but the thing is they are wearing the no.4 uniform. whatever inappropriate thing will reflect badly on the SAF and the real soldiers.

  NCC if i'm not mistaken as with NPCC is considered as a para-military organization. Thus, as in any para military organization, uniform and rank are the norms.
  
  To be honest, which NSF or NSman really wanted the olive green SINGAPORE on our uniform anyway?I think it's better to instill a sense of pride (putting on the SINGAPORE tag might be a sense of pride fOR them, but for the NSFs and the NSman, we just grumble at these changes) in serving our nation for these young NCC cadets before they go onto the real thing when they go onto BMT.In times of emergency or conflict, I would be SURE that the NPCC and NCC would be mobilized as part of the total defence of nation. That is why in recent years u see uniformed group participating in the NDP. Thus, it doesn't mean that you have to be serving NS to be serving the nation. About young 15-16years old holding onto SSG and MSG rank, I think that it's up to each individual's discretion. You would really have to be dumb to mistake any NCC cadet holding onto these rank as the real thing. Anyway,the ranks are strictly based on NCC terms and thus completely different from the three combined forces.
  
  Thus, I really don't see anything wrong with putting on the SINGAPORE tag.

  At that time it was the Olive Green and people didnt know much about the SAF.He wore a No.3 uniform with the badges from beach road, did his NS as an MP.Not mental patient but Military Police

  shld educate NSFs so tt they dun salute to NCC officers (heard of such cases b4) instead of kpkb tt NCC look too much like SAF.
