Yup now ncc got funny things like PDS. Last time dun have.Originally posted by stellazio:NCC is a joke now, what 20 pushups max i hear? WTF.
I had a NS 3rd sergeant who pumped us 50 in Amoy Quee, and made us redo at 49. Now? Camps are conducted in schools, and its a holiday camp...
If u want to make the uniform look similar to the NSF's one. At least make the training the way it used to be.
Now there's even a games time, wtf. Last time was all drills and PT and discipline.
Based on the slack system that NCC is running now, yes, they do not deserve it.
But on another note, maybe the welfare that came to NCC was passed from Army as well. Both parties becoming more welfare.
omg lol so in the end did u complete it? our max number of push ups in one go that we did as a part was 300+ during part B times. There was once where we got knocked under our school clock tower during afternoon tekan session when we were late for fall in and the brick floor was dam hot, when we recover that time some of my platoonmates had skin peeling off from their palms. That time we really hated our PC but after that for a long period of time we made sure that we were punctual.Originally posted by Blurboy12:Yup now ncc got funny things like PDS. Last time dun have.
Rmb last time we kana 1 funny punishment. We kana knock it down & do pushups according to our boots size x2. Example i wear size 277 (2+7+7=16 x 2 =32). So those big foot like me super lugi
Oh yea and maybe you should come take a look at our school ncc camps and decide if they are holiday camps or not. We had route marches of 18km around macritchie reservoir and bukit timah hill. Last camp we went to pulau ubin for a 10km+ trek too. Not all schools are slack in their training i'll have you knowOriginally posted by stellazio:NCC is a joke now, what 20 pushups max i hear? WTF.

man, it is time to stop these kind of tortures
To clarify something, only the "best of the best" get to be in NCC for National Service, so somehow they are a little bit cranky with punishments. Normally, they are recommended by their PC to be in NCC as they are deemed not suitable for units as commanders or in schools as instructors.Originally posted by stellazio:NCC is a joke now, what 20 pushups max i hear? They'll think of NCC as a local version of JROTC what... Big deal meh?Originally posted by cairocks:You think foreigners can differenciate? With these kids running and jumping around, you think it is easy to see the tiny wordings on the camouflage eppulettes at a distance?
Martin, you siao isit?Originally posted by martin_lim85:are we suppose to salute ncc officer? cos i dun, once i saw an nsf did it but i dun know is right or wrong
that only apply to real SAF soldiers.Originally posted by wuming78:anyway just to clarify: vest slack is considered improper book out attire. one can wear it during work but nothing else. so for the NDP case, tt's work so it's fine. but once a person books out, that is a no-no.
Huh?! We have to call NCC Cadet Lieutenant "SIR" and salute those teachers?Originally posted by SpecOps87:there's a distinction between NCC Officers and NCC Cadet Lieutenants. To the lajiaos here...no offense but if a NSF Recruit/Private, 3SG, 2Lt wanna knock us down...we also LLST. The NCC Officers are those teacher officers or HQ NCC Staff. They are entitled Salutes. While CLTs are entitled the greeting of Sir, but no salute.
I am really confused. I thught that if a teacher who is a CPT (NS) and is incharge of NCC unit will automatically be accorded a NCC CPT rank as well?Originally posted by I_love_my_toilet:wahahaa last time NCC west commander is a MAJ (NCC), an indian
guess wat is his ns rank ? CPL
Originally posted by chanjyj:No, the NCC rank is dependant on how long the teacher has been in charge of NCC as well.

Any other teacher in charge of NCC CCA will get a rank of LT ONLY? (Save for the exceptional case)
i can help lai lai lai my forum askOriginally posted by chanjyj:Hmm. I feel like getting someone from NCC HQ to explain to me and see what exactly is happening if I have the time.

at least i know the " part a b c d " still exist.
Any NCC guys wanna sign on ?
The cadet lieutenant being greeted Sir/Mdm is by the cadets lah...not NSFs/Regulars/NSmen lah...Originally posted by chanjyj:Huh?! We have to call NCC Cadet Lieutenant "SIR" and salute those teachers?
Some of those teachers are officers in SAF, i.e. NSmen with rank. The males. But some NCC teachers are women with no SAF rank?...
hmm surf NCC official webby ?Originally posted by chanjyj:Hmm. I feel like getting someone from NCC HQ to explain to me and see what exactly is happening if I have the time.

You wana know why Camps are slack in HQ now? Its because of the rules passed down. Thats why the CLTS dont dare do anything to the kids.Originally posted by Moonlighter:Actually my school unit heck care about the 20 push ups max. If we adhere to the rules everyone would climb over the NCOs' heads. For part c cadets 1 mistake during uniform check already 15~20. Late 1 second 1 push-up( last time there was one time our PC dam pissed with us being late that 1 sec late 6 push-ups). In fact our school camp is far more shiong then in HQ. The recent spec course that i went to in HQ felt more like a holiday camp. In my school ncc camp changing parades of 5~6 times could be given, in nearly impossible timings ( e.g pt kit to no 4 in 3 mins, and that was when we were still in part as). After every changing late how many sec then pump how many times. Worse still some of the bunks were at the 3rd storey...
Anyway, I dont really care if we are wearing the singaproe tag or not, because from what i see, most of our young men dosen't seem to have much pride in our army anyway...
P.S lol we are going off-topic...
I meant one of the SAF officers in NCC HQ, not one of the NCC officers/cadets/whoever else resides thereOriginally posted by kenn3th:i can help lai lai lai my forum ask
If NCC got BG rank (teacher) then that must be Mr Lee XX SonOriginally posted by I_love_my_toilet:only salute to BGs and above lor

oops i forgot to mention it shld be SAF BGOriginally posted by chanjyj:If NCC got BG rank (teacher) then that must be Mr Lee XX Son
And even if got I prob wont salute unless he also passes me a salute. NCC BG <> SAF BG. We belong to diff organisations. Just as I won't salute a police superintendent. (<> stand for not equals to)
NCC previously have LTC (NCC), now max out at MAJ (NCC).Originally posted by I_love_my_toilet:oops i forgot to mention it shld be SAF BG
NCC no BG, highest rank is SAF LTC aka the NCC commandant.
which i think most prob tio condemn ?
