Ok let me be frank here
I am a cadet from NCC too
Most of my juniors(Part As and Bs) are very difficult to handle with.
If you try to reason out to them, they climb over our head.
If being too harsh with them, they complain to principal or my CO. End up we will the one who are in deep trouble
So it is kind to difficult to handle, they are playful, attitude a bit haywire.
Or maybe we never handle them properly?
I told my brother about it, he said that this was easy to solve with and told me that we are weak to handle them.
Because from what I see, the newer batch are getting worse than the previous batch.
Btw even my CO and TOs also don't know how to deal with them even giving them all sorts of punishments which are useless.
Any suggestions to improve on the situation? Thanks -

yeah thats about it, and probably getting to fire a m16 before ur time, but anyway when most of ur other peers enter, all using sar, so u can at least tell them u fired both before.
but, As with other specialist, we get to learn drills, arms drills, stripping of rifles, IA procedures, Crawls, Target indication + the stripping and assembling of rifles ect.
Yes, it's correct to say that we do not deserve the rank, but nvr the less, it's a cca, like npcc, red cross ect. And it's ran on a diff system from army, although we are related to them, and we share a common bond -- army ncc badge -
ok another point to clarify is that, yes, there are kids who disgrace the name of ncc. We are not fit to even be soldiers, and yes, we aint. The Misconception is that there are a few bad eggs that smeared the reputation of what we built 106 years ago. Most of us are really really humble and do not put on airs to what rank we are holding
Specialists, aka specs, part c cadets, know what's it like to be like as an Nsf, and we truely regard and respect all Ns Men.
The Sirs (clts) that i know, yea, they too, do not show off in front of people of lower ranks than them Instead, they are humble and regard them as teachers whom they will ask for advice ect.
Although i must say, there are still a few bad eggs ect. -

I feel that NCC in my school was largely more shiong than BMT....they emphasised more on discipline.
In BMT some guys in my plt would be talking in a file and nothing happened. In my sch NCC we would be getting screwed big time already. -

like the bloody phrase tt many s'poreans(esp women) like to say, "everyone will go through NS wat, go thru the same thing, cannot escape one", they will later undergo the same shit tt everyone had/has suffered... the fact tt they choose to join the NCC as their CCA shows tt they r more patriotic their peers n u friends out there... they suffer n learn more n earlier than others, they dun onli learn n undergo all the shit earlier, they go into NS knowing the military culture(though there r some coc_ksters).
but i cannot tolerate those NCC UDIs wearing their lanyard (aiyah dunno how to spell) n badges n walking buah long long. -

arrange for a camp during the holidaes to wack them, tt's wat my seniors did, got firedrill den wack in the middle of the nite. too bad NCC not like SAF, got court martial, if they tuang training u olso LL, kick them out ur sch unit will be affected. recruitment process v impt, recruits shld undergo interview b4 they r allowed to join the CCA, to select the best cadets. -

NCC is a joke now, what 20 pushups max i hear? WTF.
I had a NS 3rd sergeant who pumped us 50 in Amoy Quee, and made us redo at 49. Now? Camps are conducted in schools, and its a holiday camp...
If u want to make the uniform look similar to the NSF's one. At least make the training the way it used to be.
Now there's even a games time, wtf. Last time was all drills and PT and discipline.
Based on the slack system that NCC is running now, yes, they do not deserve it.
But on another note, maybe the welfare that came to NCC was passed from Army as well. Both parties becoming more welfare. -
At the end of all the talk. One truth remains.
When activation orders are given, it's the SAF that goes to battle. Not the NCC.
So let's end this mindless bickering yea?

aiya.....let those kids be lar....u cant mean tat all the uncle and auntie cant tell the diff between NCC and SAF?? see their small size and cute face can ady......Bear in mind that they are kids......If we can get these ppl 'excited' abt NS and all that, so be it....den maybe NS tat time got more ppl volunteer for sai kang......I dont condone misbehaving in uniform though, disgrace whatever the NCC teaches its cadets on discipline......

anyway just to clarify: vest slack is considered improper book out attire. one can wear it during work but nothing else. so for the NDP case, tt's work so it's fine. but once a person books out, that is a no-no.

Actually my school unit heck care about the 20 push ups max. If we adhere to the rules everyone would climb over the NCOs' heads. For part c cadets 1 mistake during uniform check already 15~20. Late 1 second 1 push-up( last time there was one time our PC dam pissed with us being late that 1 sec late 6 push-ups). In fact our school camp is far more shiong then in HQ. The recent spec course that i went to in HQ felt more like a holiday camp. In my school ncc camp changing parades of 5~6 times could be given, in nearly impossible timings ( e.g pt kit to no 4 in 3 mins, and that was when we were still in part as).
