If social norms dictate holding hands in public with the opposite sex is acceptable, then there is no problem whether or not you are in uniform. -

You want to be impressed look at the Gurkhas at the airport with their slouch hats and MP5. Those are ones to avoid if you are JI.
I know it is part of their tradition to wear the kukri but ... are they gonna start hacking people at the airport? That's quite mediaeval. -
The gurkhas, despite their fierce looks, are also very friendly. They will from time to time, smile at passengers or other staff like us.
The local boys, oogle at the stewardesses only. -

those gurkhas are fit.... dun play play with them... their timing for SOC in FBO is comparable to the average recruits' timing during BMT....
