and i think he would not have offered any 'token' or bribe.
think of the consequence.
when he got caught with the passport situation, the custom officers would have known his occupation. (our green card)
imagine if he had offered anything like 'token' or 'coffee' money.
He would have been in deeper sh*t.

read from today's paper that his gf had finished the 2 weeks sentence "today" - 6 Feb yet still being held in prison due to "technical" issues, as said by the malaysian official. their reason being, she's supposed to be transferred to some immigration office to settle her papers but becos the office's already packed with indonesians aka no space.. hence she has to wait until there's space for her.

now, seriously, i'm not at all interested in what the malaysians are doing..
but are our own SINGAPORE OFFICIALS doing anything to help?!

Our government does not care like the Aussies do. They will do things behind the scenes, but I think in this case, they hung them out to dry..for them to settle themselves.

JOHOR BARU - JOHOR Menteri Besar Abdul Ghani Othman has urged Singaporeans who say their passports were left unstamped by immigration officials when they entered Johor to come forward and lodge reports.
Malay daily Utusan Malaysia reported yesterday that Datuk Abdul Ghani said Singaporeans facing such problems should raise the issue with him so that the matter could be resolved.
'I wish to meet these Singaporeans if indeed such a thing happened. We need to investigate to see whether these were done deliberately or otherwise,' he told journalists at the Johor Cyberport Multimedia Super Corridor after a joint-venture signing ceremony on Monday.
He also said he was unaware that Singaporeans were jailed for carrying the unstamped passports.
'I will verify this matter, I've not heard about Singaporeans being jailed for unstamped passports,' he was quoted as saying by Singapore's Malay daily, Berita Harian.
Chinese daily Lianhe Zaobao reported that he even asked for newspaper cuttings to prove that such incidents had happened.
When asked to comment on whether he would advise immigration officers to be more meticulous now, he said passport holders should also play their part by checking.

I thought the guy is on bail and back in Singapore. I think he can don't go back to answer the charges, just forfeit the bail bond. Then, he just need to change his name and get our our gahmen to issue him a new NRIC number. Alternatively, he just don't go into Malaysia for the rest of his life.
