I forgot it was a school level of company level thing cos my time there were quite a number over 20 who didn't do their 24km or some even 16km. Its not the CSM decision but the OC or CO depending on which level it was that decided on this.Originally posted by shade343:Hmm, but that seems really unfair. What if you had a foot problem and you missed your 16km and 24km? Does the CSM have the power to demand you come back and finish your route march? Btw, which coy were you from?
It is NOT a requirement.Originally posted by Lance_han:Well .. the 24km route march is one of the requirements to complete BMT .. so irregardless of foot problem or not, perhaps this is a LPPL/suck thumb and do it .. or maybe not.
Well, even if it's not a requirement like you said, it's not exactly fair either when everyone has done that and not you.Originally posted by SBS3625D:It is NOT a requirement.

HIIYA HIIYA!!Originally posted by monoslayer:yes. its call BCCT.
one of the lessons u will dread during ur bmt.
the instructors are taekwondo black belts in civilian life, so getting into the vocation is easy once there are intake opening. but they are taking non-combatant service allowance. and is considered a man vocation, so at most corporal rank.Originally posted by monoslayer:yes. its call BCCT.

no leh, tekong is 7 weeks for pes c. 9 for normal, 13 for enhanced and 15 for obese as far as i know.Originally posted by yungan:hello! i'm new here but i have a question regarding bmt..
i failed napfa so i have to go to ptp. I'm enlisting on the 13th of dec bmtc school 2...
my enlistment letter says i have to do 4weeks of ptp followed by 9 weeks of bmt...
but the mindef website states there is an enhanced 10 week bmt or 8 weeks normal bmt...
anyone has any idea why mine is 9 weeks?
oh yes...anyone enlisting 13th dec at 2pm as well?
thanks!
just rechecked the mindef page..it is outdated...it states ptp as 6 weeks but that is no longer the case, its 4 weeks now...Originally posted by stellazio:no leh, tekong is 7 weeks for pes c. 9 for normal, 13 for enhanced and 15 for obese as far as i know.

Just follow what is said on the letter, the website might not be updated. There is no longer any 10/8 weeks BMT now in tekong. It might be BMT duration for BMT and PES C when it was 2.5 yrs NS since the current 1 is 9/7 weeks instead.Originally posted by yungan:hello! i'm new here but i have a question regarding bmt..

All forms of training courses have been reduced when NS reduced from 2.5 to 2 yrs. PTP is now 4 weeks followed by a 9 week BMT a total of 13 weeks from the previous 16 week PTP/BMT.Originally posted by yungan:just rechecked the mindef page..it is outdated...it states ptp as 6 weeks but that is no longer the case, its 4 weeks now...
but since they reduced NS from 2.5 yrs to 2, the bmt phase should not have increased right?
sorry, just to clarify..9/7 as in 9 for enhanced and 7 for normal?Originally posted by dkcx:Just follow what is said on the letter, the website might not be updated. 9 for BMT. Enhanced is just leadership batch which means most people get to go SISPEC/OCS while PES C is the 1 that does the 7 week BMTOriginally posted by yungan:sorry, just to clarify..9/7 as in 9 for enhanced and 7 for normal?
