  hehe, i'm enlisting dis firday n came here 2 double check on the stuff 2 bring. wanna check wif u guys, besides ic, n passport, r there any other documents tat dey require u 2 bring in? e.g, health booklet?

  You will be issued black tape if i didn't remember wrongly but good to bring extra just in case as you will need it to tape up loose ends on your helmet. In the past we use alot of it for our SBO and fieldpack but now both has changed but likely to still have loose ends you will need to tape up.

  Including the roll they give you, you need that much black tape? I think 2 was enough for my entire NS life since after going to unit people don't really care whether my SBO, fieldpack etc were well taped.

  Nothing issued by SAF uses battery except the small torchlight as far as i remember so unless the things you bring in requires batts, i don't think you will really need it.

  1. CO night is a night about 1 weeks before POP that the whole school will gather and there will be performance etc to entertain everyone followed by a good supper. Each company is required to put up a performance which normally is chosen during OC night (similar sort of event but smaller scale held at company level). In a way its like a celebration to mark the nearing of your tour in tekong.
  
  2. POP stands for Passing Out Parade which is the day you finally promoted from a chao recruit to a chao private :p and it marks the beginning of your 'real' NS life.

  currently no pes (my PES D expired)
  
  going check up in nov 26. if i am awarded pes A or B will i be enlisting in jan, april or july?
  
  passed napfa btw. so not in ptp.

  I won't exactly say i like tekong life since my unit life was better since i had more say in things and i was doing something i enjoy more than chiong sua however, undeniable that tekong experience was unique and once you miss it, you won't get another chance ever again. The going might be tough but the memories it gives is well worth the 'torture' :p

  Yup, most of the time there'll be good food, entertainment by your fellow company mates.
  
  If you're good at the guitar or drama, be prepared to be 'arrowed' to perform.

  What can he expect to do during SIT Test? Any tips or advise?
  
  Also, any tips on how to avoid misfiring the gun during range? My friend is worried about misfiring ever since his buddy misfired the gun during range. Apparently, the gun fired off by itself even though his buddy didnt pull the trigger.
