You will be issued black tape if i didn't remember wrongly but good to bring extra just in case as you will need it to tape up loose ends on your helmet. In the past we use alot of it for our SBO and fieldpack but now both has changed but likely to still have loose ends you will need to tape up.Originally posted by stellazio:black tape need to bring for enlistment?
by extra.. pls dun bring more than 1... ok lar 2...Originally posted by dkcx:You will be issued black tape if i didn't remember wrongly but good to bring extra just in case as you will need it to tape up loose ends on your helmet. Including the roll they give you, you need that much black tape? I think 2 was enough for my entire NS life since after going to unit people don't really care whether my SBO, fieldpack etc were well taped.Originally posted by mhcampboy:by extra.. pls dun bring more than 1... ok lar 2...
Nothing issued by SAF uses battery except the small torchlight as far as i remember so unless the things you bring in requires batts, i don't think you will really need it.Originally posted by stellazio:btw need to bring extra AA batt ar?
ok.. anyway i think confinement also no need.Originally posted by dkcx:Nothing issued by SAF uses battery except the small torchlight as far as i remember so unless the things you bring in requires batts, i don't think you will really need it.
Passing out parade...Originally posted by RaaRaa:Just curious from some post ago,
1) What is CO's night ?
BMT CO's nite= MDC gerls come to tekong do performance
Unit CO's nite= Lots of alcohol...and hot chicks(escorts) from dunno where come and have fun
2) What is POP ?
1. CO night is a night about 1 weeks before POP that the whole school will gather and there will be performance etc to entertain everyone followed by a good supper. Each company is required to put up a performance which normally is chosen during OC night (similar sort of event but smaller scale held at company level). In a way its like a celebration to mark the nearing of your tour in tekong.Originally posted by RaaRaa:Just curious from some post ago,

So POP occurs after the 3 months of BMT ? Cool. Btw What is OC night?Originally posted by dkcx:1. 2. POP stands for Passing Out Parade which is the day you finally promoted from a chao recruit to a chao private :p and it marks the beginning of your 'real' NS life.
As i mention, OC's night is like a smaller scale celebration held by each company. Every platoon will have to prepare an item and normally the best will be chosen to represent the company for the CO's night.Originally posted by RaaRaa:So POP occurs after the 3 months of BMT ? Cool. Yup, most of the time there'll be good food, entertainment by your fellow company mates.Originally posted by dkcx:As i mention, OC's night is like a smaller scale celebration held by each company. CO's night and OC's night are the few occasions when you can totally relax and have fun while on tekong.
