  phew i passed my napfa test today.. and they allow me to defer my enlistment cos im enlisting on 17 sept.. thank god.

  Hmm... my friend had to go for 1mth PTP before the BMT cuz he didnt get silver for his napfa test. I heard that one can only book out after 3 weeks in BMT.
  
  So if he goes in for the 1mth PTP 1st, can he book out after 3 weeks in PTP? Or must he wait for 1mth(PTP) AND 3weeks(of BMT) before he can book out?]

  To those who are going to enlist.. its advisable to train up and take ur NAPFA earlier in case u fail because it is conducted once(every wed) weekly only.
  
  I have met people when i was taking NAPFA taking more than 3-4 times.. Also met people trying to pass last minute cos they are enlisting less than one week like me but luckily i passed.. And it is also better in case they send u the enlistment last minute like me.. i received mine 3 weeks before the enlistment date

  anyone enlisting on the 15th October school 1?
  
  anyway whats the diff between sch 1 and 2? i heard sch 1 is far from the terminal..and the cookhouse suck. is that true?

  yes, school 1 is further and cookhouse floorarea is smaller.

  15th Oct will be in Sch 1 Rocky Hill. All the best to you! It has the best of what tekong can offer.

  Its no longer slack any more. Got 2 sirs from the old ninja coy transferred there. Its a hell coy now.

  I'm at Hawk Coy now, it's not that bad. 1st two weeks only, we'll see how it goes when i book in again.

  Hello i will be enlisted on january next year.i am a jc student. just curious...what determines if you are enlisted in jan or april? i got c9l2 for lax joints, severe flat foot and sweaty palms. What will my BMT be like?

  have all those going into the january batch nxt yr received their enlistment letters already? so is it confirmed that those that do not receive their letter this mth are going for the march batch?

  query query..me..republic poly yr3 student graduating feb 2008.
  when is the most likely enlistment date for me?
  
  is enlistment date determined by your birthday or whether u're poly/jc
  like poly is around june - oct intake

  NDU enlistment 19 march 2008
  PA enlistment april 2008
  
  others havent receive letter yet i think
  
  including me. i still got an appointment with specialist in nov

  yea i'm a jc student too and i'm enlisting on January next yr too. i got PES A but i'm posted to SCDF to undergo BRT instead. any idea why?

  no lah. u r just fit to undergo basic rescue training to be a firefighter with the scdf. u r channelled to scdf to serve ur ns.
  
  some are also posted to spf to be policeman for 2 years. thats all.
  
  firefighter and policeman straight serve their bmt at the training school for their bmt. no need to go tekong for army bmt.
  
  only a handful from the leadership batches from tekong bmt are to be nspi (police inspector nsf) are selected from the tekong bmt.

  hey going to enlist in about 15 days, im lost! wad do i need to bring extra?
  
  so far from this fantastic FAQ i have standby are,
  
  hangerx5
  cloth pegsx10
  buying zip lock bags during the weekend, how many to buy?
  gillette shaver with 5 extra blades
  small can of shaving cream
  boxersx8(is this enough? and can dont use underwear wear boxers?)
  specsx1
  socksx2 pairs
  deodorant sprayx1
  shower foamx 1 medium bottle
  shampoox1 medium bottle
  detergent powderx 1 medium container(about 20 scoops)
  gogglesx1
  slippersx1 pair
  nail clippersx1
  
  anything else i need? i dont need to bring civilian clothes right? the list they give tgt with the enlistment letter is very vague.
