so is preferable for me to stay as PES B and go for normal PES B BMT rather than gain weight and get re evaluated to PES BP? But i heard from my friends then normal bmt more shiong and i think i wont be able to tahan. What do you guys recommend?

Stay as PES B, aim for silver for your NAPFA, and go through the normal BMT. Experience it first-hand instead of listening to your friends. What you can endure may be different from your friends.
If you really cannot tahan, then feel free to talk to the MO. -

is there any difference between navy bmt and normal bmt? if yes what r the diff?

I was from the Army BMT, before I was transfered over to the Navy Side after my BMT. Back then, we were all at Sembawang Naval Base. If I remembered correctly, someone told me that the Navy BMT marched only 8km for their POP, firing is shorter than Army's, and don't think that they got field camp also. Swimming, as expected is very much a part of their lives. All navy personnel have to pass 2 swimming tests consisting of threading water and jumping off a 3m platform before we can ever think of getting posted to be onboard a naval vessal.Originally posted by AhJun:is there any difference between navy bmt and normal bmt? if yes what r the diff?
Oh, and on the day of POP, they will do the march-in like the army POP, but also they got 1 or 2 other extra segment where they perform some marital arts thingy.

what i should i expect for bmt when i enlist as pes C9L9? will i even have standard bmt?

Hey I'm a A Leveller going in next year,
and I'm quite disappointed with my 6 months of temporary PES E.got some Asperger's Syndrome thingy,but it's quite a mild case.I can function virtually normally as a person unless I do something really ridiculous. can cope with NS but I suspect they don't take any chances with a mentally unsound (however mild) recruit
It is said that once you write anything else on the medical questionaire other than ur signature and date,and your parent's signature,you have a 40% chance of going PES C and 55% chance of PES E
hence I've a few questions:
1)when do PES E guys enter NS? (general trend)
2)after the BMT period,for servicement of most PES ,there's POP,to some fanfare. is it true that PES E ppl,after their 5 days,are quietly sent away to their respective vocational training,without POP or the works? and are promptly forgotten after 2 years?
3)I've 6 months probation,and I'm quite eager to promote to at least PES C. I pity those permanent PES E people who don't get to enjoy the camaderie of NS life,however hard it seems. just behave and act normal?
4)since PES E exempt from virtually all physical activity,and of course NAPFA,does that mean I can't do NAPFA exercises,like practising my pull ups and sit ups and stuff-even to keep fit long after the 5 day induction course?
5)just a question. if PES F ppl dun need serve NS,it means they will never see the interior of a camp at all,let alone tekong?
and to conclude,this is a thought to set you all thinking:
In an unpredictable world, third world war might actually flare up without warning,a strong defence force is important in deterring foreign invasion.
But as PES E i feel as if I take my country's defence for granted. as if the combat fit guys will always be there to protect SIngapore in case of crisis. I feel as if I can't protect myself let alone the country,and I feel for those who can't help at all in defending Singapore from hostile forces...
I wonder how can a PES E defend himself and his family in case of crisis,before the untenable situation in Singapore warrants emigration to somewhere relatively safer from warfare (yet remain prone to right wing backlash)[/u] -
I'm enlisting as a PES E9L9 this sept 17 bmtc 2, any idea what company will i be posted to? Or do i even have a company.
