i got a qn leh , it 's regarding time of enlistment. i got a fren who is in JC 2 with me. recently, i had just helped him to register for NS. i realised that he has an additional page which is the pre-enlistment 9 steps or something like that. i was shocked to why he has that page while the rest of the guys in the class do not have it . could it be due to him being chosen for some VA or just plainly, he is just gonna go in earlier than the rest of us
btw his birthdae is in dec while mine is in april -

lets say ur NS is abt to end in 3 months , then ur medical condition improved , is it possible to get upgraded .

Hey, got something to ask.. When i went for my CMPB check 1 year ago, i was graded Pes A, but i was kind of the borderline case with my BMI quite close to 25.0 . Will i be downgraded to Pes Bp on the day of enlistment if my bmi flies >25.0? Kind of gained weight, heard they do such stuff in the december intake?
And regarding spectacles, do i have to enlist on that day already with the black specs? Or i can attend the oath - lunch part with my casual specs on?
I'm in the ptp batch by the way and how do they noe my size for my uniforms and trunks? Later pitcha? -

you can enlist with whatever spectacles you like. but be practical - you are going to be confined for two weeks and within that period, if anything happens to your spectacles, no one will be able to help you.
you are supposed to have tried your uniform sizes when you went for your medical checkup -
i am currently under the IP programme which means i skipped my o'levels and i'm taking my a'levels this year. apparently, someone from the CMPD just called me to check and she told me that because i skipped my o'levels my highest education standard should be PSLE not o'level.
err will this affect anything? like my PES status or what vocation i will end up doing? i will take a'levels this year even though i skipped o'level. [/b] -

Your PES status won't be affected. But if you enlist before your O'levels you probably would not be an officer. But it also is a good thing actually.

assuming i do not get my silver/gold for napfa. so i do a few weeks more of physical training before bmt. but do i still need to do two monthes more of NS excluding the PTP period? -

Erm.. got a situation here , i pass my O lvl but fail to get into any course in poly and i decided not to retake and go on for NS , my deferment ending on 02May , so what will happen after i dont defer ? when will they asking me to go for checkup ? when will i be enlisted in army ?

there is no such thing as serve 2 more months even if u fail to get silver for IPPT before enlistment. u will serve the standard 2 years. the reduction of 2 months is for those who get silver.Originally posted by aiglosicicle:thanks! okay another small question...

some questions:
i'm supposed to enlist/report at 8.00am march 16 to bmtc sch 1 but then the letter states bus will be provided from 8 to 8.30 to the ferry jetty from 8 to 8.30 so does that mean i should report at 8.00 to pasir ris interchange to wait for the bus? also, a lot of my friends enlisting on the same day got 9.00am reporting time which is seriously weird because of just an hour's difference in batches so is mine probably an error or something?
anyone else reporting same day/time?
