Documentary from BBC that unravels the myths and theories of Jesus life and death:
1. Jesus survived the cross
2. Jesus was a Hindu monk
3. Jesus burial site discovered

What do you think? WHat do you believe?
yes I know about this. I even have a book on this, written by a german in the 90s.
cool story bro
It is a possibility that jesus was influenced by buddhism or hinduism during his "missing years".
The bible records nothing about jesus from a child to a young adult.
So some people do speculate that he had been to India because of the similarities between buddhism (which predates xtianity) and christianity

Tcmc,
What similarities you talking about? Please explain.

This is a well debated issue among christians and buddhists for some time already. You mean you didnt know?

Wikipedia not the best source, but still ok.

Tcmc,
Well debated? I don't think so. This is hardly a popular notion and few serious-minded scholars even take this seriously. This is mainly speculation trying to pass itself off as something serious. I have long known about this and I think it is flakey and shoddy.

well I am not even sure if this is real. similarly Jesus resurrection was real? any proof that he was resurrected? oh in the bible he was resurrected I see

Rooney, How do you suppose one should go about ascertaining whether a reported event really happened a long time ago?

you can't because no known man in history has ever come back from the dead. Maybe Jesus was the first one to come back in the bible.
so when is Jesus second coming? did the bible provide year and month? any person with the name of Jesus Christ is not counted.
Interesting thesis on Jesus.
at least it provide another perspective of his missing years, interesting read.
its just like xtian would insists this is rubbish, just like we reckoned god does not exists, same here.

I have asked BIC to provide evidence or proof, but he plainly told me he cant.
Just accept what he says as "claims" without proof then.
:)

Rooney,
On what basis do you say that no known man in history has ever come back from the dead? Tell me, do you hold to naturalism as a worldview?

But you haven't provided the tools for how one can empirically prove that a miracle happened 2000 years ago! I already said it, you give me the tools and I will give you the proof. No tools no proofs.

There are many ways to prove something.
One method is to reproduce the effect.
Thats why I told you to do what daniel did in the bible.
But you already told me you cant reproduce it, so i dunno why you are bringing it up again

why should he provide tools so that you can provide proof. the onus is on you to provide proof since you claim he came back from the dead isnt it. if you cant provide, just say so and move on.

OK, so tell me, how does one go about proving an effect of a miracle that happened 2000 years ago. You tell me how to do it and I will attempt to get the proof for you. Game on?

He doesnt understand that the claimant has to prove his claims.

To reproduce the miracles in the bible, you got to choose which miracle you want to reproduce first, so as to prove it.
Which one do you wanna prove?

Rooney,
If he wants proof, then I am only asking him to supply the kind of proofs that he would accept. That's very reasonable in my opinion. He has to tell me what methodology is approved so that at least I can hold him to something, right?

Lol..

Well, you made the claim that it is possible to empirically prove a miracle that happened 2000 years ago. Prove that claim please. If you cannot do this, I don't see why I should even entertain you any further on this.
