the above happened to me but later i asked the pastor about the monthly tithe issue and i had to back out.
i tried to bargain with him so i give lower than 10% but the pastor was very inflexible and kept saying how much money the church needs which is very strange since how much money is needed to run a church?!
i tried to bargain the contribution to 5% but was rejected, it had to be 10% or nothing!
he also kept harping on how i'll gain 10 TIMES in return like some kind of investment.
finally, i ask him for a money-back guarantee that i won't lose money in this venture and he declined.
so i told him i'll need to consult my AIA financial adviser and see if he can offer something more concrete.

i thought the 10% not compulsory?

yup, saw this from video clip in Youtube. Not sure if they have removed it. He and wife own a number of condo and why don't they sell their condo and donate to church, why must the members sell ... -

Baptism is an important step for christians.
I could see christians getting baptised at City harvest church roof baptism pool.
A few hundred went to be baptised together.
