CHRISTIANITY = HILTERHISM
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For anyone posting or making comments here, whatever faith or non-faith you may be.
Ask yourself this, are you really doing it to share and for the discussion itself? Or are you just all about the arguement itself.
To some people here more specifically and you know who you are. You try to make it seem as if you are being wronged or bullied, when your words and questions are more aimed to provoke more than anything. It's even worse when you know you can phrase things differently, yet you phrase it deliberately to provoke, to anger, to incite ill-feeling. Yet you go about accussing others of being trolls. The irony and hypocrysy of it all.
Theological debate here is moot in any case, because ultimately everybody here ends up in the same state of belief or non-belief. In any case, so often the debate goes haywire because of people who are all about the arguement and conflict rather than really trying to exchange ideas and understand the other. It's not just in this forum, it's in the whole of sgforums.
Ask yourself as well, are you just carrying out your own perverted and warped sense of 'justice'? Are you just ranting or are you truly trying to make a point and to tell the person something. Provoking thought is one thing, provoking ill-feeling is another.
You know yourself the intention of your posts, is it really to share and to communicate or is something more sinister that you mask with illusions of 'justice', 'truth' or 'righteousness'.

There is no hypocrisy, just a will to express the truth.

I've already said before, it's sad but true that people go to church for such reasons. It really should not be the case.
Not just for going to church but I feel that for what every religious event or something involving faiths/beliefs, the people should go for the right reasons and not for reasons like this.
I have ever told a friend that was attending a church purely just to see girls that I'd rather he didn't go at all.

Perhaps you are only speaking for yourself, or for others who are more sincere about their religious beliefs (not just Christians).
However, the same cannot be said for some of the people posting here.

Yes, there is good and there is bad in all groups of people. If you truly about what you say you stand for you will realise.
Not every muslim is a member of Al Qaeda, not every Buddhist is a vegetarian, and not every free-thinker or atheist shows blantant and total disregard to people with religious beliefs.
I hope you will not continue to ignore the fact that there are many other churches and church-goers who do not conform to your stereotypes.
roger...........roger..........

Again like I would say, it does not apply to all Christians and all Churches.
I can only sincerely wish that your experience and the types of Christians you encounter widens.

I'll leave you at your stated view.

will you be a christian if you need to kneel and chant for hours on end.........................i don't think so !
how about burning joss-sticks and incense papers.................................?
most of the people at church are all old people.....................?
young people become christians mostly becoz it's the ''coolest'' religion out there with a lot of HOLLYWOOD hype.....................it's also the ''easiest'' religion to practice...................
and most importantly, it's seen as an ANGMOH religion.....................what if Jesus was a blackie ?????
you can bet your last dollar this religion wouldn't be found in Nth America and Europe.............and hence not to be found in Sth America and Australia too.................
