young people join Church becoz it's seen as the coolest FALSE religion out there...............
1) will they go to temple and join the aunties and uncles to burn joss-sticks ? HELL NO..............
2) will they have the discipline to kneel and chant ? FARKING HELL NO...............
3) will they become muslims and give up pork chops ? GOD-FARKING HELL NO...............
will young people want to be christians if they have to do the above 3 things ?.............HECK NO...........they'll not want to be caught dead holding joss-sticks............though i'm sure the girls would appreciate the muslim circumcision rule.............LOL
the truth is Christianity is the ''easiest'' religion...............plus the most important thing is ...........it is considered a Western or ''ANGMOH'' religion..................
if the fabricated Jesus character is a BLACKIE from say Bangladesh..............or Nigeria, you think young people still wanna join this religion..............NO FARKING WAY...............

Chistianity only became westernised when Jesus' disciples brought it to Rome.
Christianity was also given more prominence during the Reformation period.
Thats how it became an "ang moh" religion.
However, you don't find many young people becoming Catholics. They joined the other Chriantian religion.

I think most of the young people don't really understands the point of the religion. If they 'recruit' people by giving this reason, i guess it kinda lost its meaning.

i believe in the teachings of moral values in christianity. but not evangelism. the lack of tolerance for other beliefs goes against the very basic teachings of tolerance.
on the point of young people wanting to associate themselves, it's true, nobody has ever told you "i met my gf in temple!" (though yes for mosque)

He does not wish you to become a sucker (Like a vampire drama series, cant remember the name) to leech out of your date. He will give it to you when you are really ready such that it is the best for you.What about Taoist / Buddhist? Taoist I am not very sure, but Buddhist says Karma (Was it the right term?). In short, of my limited knowledge, it appears that that has to do with my past life or whatever? Hell who knows if such exist and even if so (Against Chrisitian belief), it is quite unfair because now things should now settle, dont later come and claim. (Like refund good policy also got like 2 weeks, 15 days or 30 days one right? How can one say o, u last 20 years bought a TV and now spoilt, ask for refund?!)
In summary, in seems like the Christianity's explanation can "heal" those lost people without hurting their pride much. It gives them a power to go up and requesting the need more so that god (He) will give it at a suitable time. Whether is it true or not, I have never seen it, I just think that personally, I am atheist, who ban religion, but among those religion, I still can accept more on christian, not because of Ang Mo one but because the way they phrase it looked more suitable and appealing in the perspective of psychology, even if they have missed out certain fundamental facts. (Such as how does human created after Adam & Eve because the records got some error or not complete enough lol!)

there are many successful buddhists who don't go round telling people that they are successful and rich. the richest man in hong kong, li kai shing is a buddhist. i see many buddhists live a long life. i hardly hear any practicing buddhists dying young , this is what i have observed.
if you cannot remember your past life does not mean it did not happen. just like someone drink driving, he has to face the punishment even though he cannot remember what he had done. are you saying that if you did not catch the murderer on the spot, one shouldn't go after the muderer later?
i think you should not mix buddhism and taoism together, they are 2 very different religions.

Even if one has to go after the murderer later, also not after the murderer had committed suicide (Pity) or kena same reason and died. At least this applies to the law of almost any country, including Singapore. But sure, if one committed suicide for any reason, their body will be caned regardless of gender.
Even I know that Buddhism and Taoism are different, but they are quite commonly practiced by Chinese (Many Indians also practice Buddhism, where Taoist no) and on top of that (Which is not really a reason due to place of origin and the history developments), they do share certain in common, more than the common point in between of any other religions.

If going by your logic, can I mix Islam and Christianity up since the two are practiced by Middle Easterners? Buddhism in China and Chinese community tend to be a mixture of Buddhism and Chinese folk religions.
