What does the City Harvest teach?

I am curious about the City Harvest since my friends kept asking me to go..
Before I go, can someone tell me what are their doctrines? For eg. Do they believe in the trinitiy etc?
What are the common practices? Do I have to contribute 10% of my salary? What other things are common?
What are the common activities? I heard there is a cell group meeting on weekdays and a general meeting on Sunday.. What else?
How are studies conducted? -

'' Money is your religion...............and i'm the prophet...............for a limited period only, as part of the promotion...........your contribution will only be 10% of your income...............next year, it's 15% + 7% GST..............so sign up quickly...............''

I give u as much info based on mine experience in that church
Service (is what you called general meeting)
Start by singing praise and worship songs. They will generally keep praying in "tougues", even to the extend to sing in it during worship song also. Then tithe and offering will ask you give. Tithe is because of the bible quote of saying give one tenth of yours to God or something like that. (The money end up used by the church, so I telling you now), and offering too. Pastor there generally like to ask you to give more $. Don't get brainwashed by that and you should be fine. Preaching of the bible. Sometimes they like to preach about Harvest (Harvest of $ usually).
Cell Group
Called the back bone of the church. Cell groups are like mini service, only the leaders preached, and they ask you to give offering.
Belive
In the trinity, the baptism of the holy spirit (that why they pray in tougues... according to them ar not me hor), and the famous "market place" story, and "raise up a young generation to take the world by storm" thing.
Things about CHC you want/ don't want to know
Some people go there find chio bu only.
Some people kena conned there cause friends invited them w/o telling them is church. (You are lucky if your friend isn't)
Really like rock concert (I will defend CHC cause young people will prefer it over a silence not so happening church... so bo bian if you wanna retain young people in church)
Keep say alot being saved, but end up how many come to church? Those people who come to church after being saved don't equal to the exact amount increase cause they are backsliders (either kena rejected too much from the girl there or some other reason I haven't think of yet)
My advice to you is, don't be spoonfed by them if you ever ever go there. They say what, don't take it as good stuff. Think through carefully before absorb their stuff into your head, and don't ever get brainwashed to give more than you want to (or God want to)

Speaking in tongues, a very clever method to entice people, but how many people at the scene actually know what the person is saying? Could be pure nonsense

CHC is a business school............teach you how to con money from mindless goons and then invest in properties to be a parasitic landlord..................

I was surpise to know that Foyce Le Xuan and Jack Neo are both in City Harvest Church http://www.temasekreview.com/index.php?s=city+harvest .
It show that sometime when One is in a big group, One can easily loss its own identity. The fact that you are doing what the church goer are doing such as speaking in tongue, raising hands to worship, quoting bible verse, attending prayer meeting and etc. Does not imply that you know GOD or is walking with HIM!
No wonder, in theMatthew 7:21-23, "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'
Are we wearing a mask? Perhaps is time for the pastor to preach on how to remove the Holier Than Thou mask.
