I believe the book of Revelations is the most intriguing part of the Bible. It mentions the destruction of the world in the end days. Here is a video clip which unlocks the confusion behind the series of events written in the Book of Revelations.

if revelations can help us avoid/avert disasters, then its good. otherwise what's the use.

These disasters mentioned in the book of revelations cannot be averted, they will happen, we have to be prepared for them. For another pov of revelations, see this video.
Just like Judgement Day.
U can only delay it.
Its INEVITABLE !
John Connor realised it. The T-850 understood it .
So can we.
Why are you so eager to take a bronze age text as true, to engulf yourself in the ignorance of the people 2000 years ago while ignoring the facts and knowledge we behold in the 21th century? The problem with such predictions is that it is an indisputable argument, because there is no specified deadline. I can predict that a person called jhsad would be born on the 7th week of the year at 7pm. If it comes true, im a prophet, if it doesn't, i'll just say it has yet to happen.

then whats the use? no use at all. all it does is create fear in people's mind, as if our lives are not already stress enough.

its BS to me.
I am given to believe that the church offered escapes from purgatory in the past through absolutions paid for by sizable donations

the use in knowing is that we can prepare ourselves for what lies ahead...

No one can claim to know what lies ahead. "Doubt is certainly not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd" - Voltaire

U have to be certain of that doubt.. that in itself is certainty.
Just like people claiming absolute truth doesnt exist when such an absolute statement itself contradicts such claim.
Even if no certainty, there is still a possibility.
Just a thought.

One should balance the odds of this possibility, however it remains so unlikely that it would seem foolish to support it completely.

a blind man was warned that he is approaching a cliff, if he insist on walking on because he thinks he knows his way, what do you think would happen to him?
is the guy warning that blind man just scaring him?

is there a cliff?
if God wants theowrld to end, he can end it with a snap of his fingers.................why all the micky mouse bullshit ?
if those poor Christians are unworthy to go to heaven, then they'll suffer in hell anyway so why bother to frighten them with the so-called signs..............
hey, maybe God is a woman after all.............whenever SHE has her period, she ends the world due to PMS..............one menstruation cycle = one Earth cycle....................the dinosaurs were the proof of earlier PMS.............

the guy should not just warn the blind man, he should pull him away from the cliff and bring him to walk on the safe path unless the guy had no ability to do so.
i believe god has better ability than the guy.

And that guy would say: "I told you so" isn't it? Wonderful...
the 2 above me understands the story or not?

What if there is no cliff, and there is a motive for scaring the blind man into another direction? Like how the church instilled fear and indoctrinated for wealth and power.
