Jesus said that He is the Alpha & the Omega, the Alev Tav.
He said that those who has seen Him has seen the Father.
Who was He praying to when He prayed to the Father?
Does God really has a son or Jesus is God who walked on earth in human form?

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning. 3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
The doctrine of the Trinity means that there is one God who eternally exists as three distinct Persons--the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Stated differently, God is one in essence and three in person.
Here's a short article from the ministry of Pastor John Piper

Thanks for your contributions bro. Such postings are surely welcomed. Let us spur each other unto growth. God bless you & may His revelations speak to us more & more.
the most common comparison is how water exist in solid, liquid, gas.
or how time exist in past, present, future.
To truly grow in spirituality and goodness of heart and spirit/soul, we need to grow in understanding beyond pure words and text. Too much emphasis, debate and energy go into written words, while the spirit/soul still remains the same, waiting to grow and see true Light.
At the end of the day, whether a person believes that Jesus was son of God, or was God himself, is not as important as the person who aims to have a heart and spirit/soul like Jesus or God. God/Creator/Source and Jesus wanted to teach Man to be like them in spirit/soul. Instead it has been interpreted as they wanted to teach Man to worship them as untouchable holies that we feel we cannot be.

IMO...the holy trinity cannot be explained fully with a single illustration...to fully explain it, u need to put several illustrations tgr, each explaining 1 characteristic of the holy trinity...i have shared this b4 in another forum...
How would one logically explain how the Jesus of the bible "talking to himself" (if he were god) as well as the devil tempting him (why would the devil tempt a god? Seems like a misnomer)
actually if u trace back the 4 diff analogies i gave some time back, i did offer an explanation but u wouldnt buy it...like i said in our PM, to each his own...devil tempting jesus has nth to do wif the holy trinity...off topic...

I wouldn't think that it is off topic, the devil certainly wouldn't tempt an all powerful god
where did u get the notion that the devil wun tempt an all-powerful God? from ur own logical reasoning?

How can you tempt someone with something, when that someone has everything?

Jesus is God but dont forget he is also fully man.
good answer xalkyrie!!! tat was my answer too...actually its due to the disability to understand the trinity tat such a qn was raised in the 1st place...human logic cannot explain how come jesus can be God and man at the same time...

so u can create a fuzzy concept and when there is a failure to explain it, you call it disability to understand
wow, good one, i'll use it next time for office politics

amazing grace . . . . . . . . . where is amazing grace?

Always remember the Bible is written by someone long ago, in another language, and then some of it translated into Hebrew, and re-translated into English, and edited.
Therefore when you read it, you must try to figure out what just what the passage is trying to tell you.
Did Jesus says He is God, or did someone says He is God? What you read is in English, and it is translated from another language, therefore what is exactly said?
We all have something in us. For some it is strong, for some it is weak. Some know they have it, some don't think so, many don't know. What is this something?
The soul? The spirit? The mind? RAM? The force?
Whatever, it is very strong in Jesus.

Wasn't the Hebrew Bible (OT) originally written in Biblical Hebrew?
So do you agree that in the process of translating, there is the possibility of words being mistranslated or edited to serve other purposes?
When you ask a group of people to figure out what a passage is about, I'm sure you will get different interpretations maybe not all of them but some, so who can say others' interpretations are wrong? Should the majority rule be evoked?
The bible talks about the father, the son and the holy ghost.
The father being stern.
The son being forgiving.
The holy ghost being close but unforgiving.
Come to think of it... If God is there, he cannot contradict himself... but to show himself in 3 different forms. Else you would see his wrath everyday as the world had became.
If God exist and you believe. You should be able to believe that he can be multiple forms as he's almighty.

Note that 2 of the 3 diff forms you mention are of the different time periods, and the word to describe such a personality would be capricious. Anyone can choose to believe something, like those who may somehow think that we live in a matrix-like world. While you are able to believe it, common sense dictates that you should be discerning as to whether or not you do.

n1.
Concepts of man-gods have been around for centuries before the supposed time of jesus, aka demigods in the greek religion. Virgin births, resurrections etc are all typical stories repeated in mythology, why should I choose to disregard what the greeks, romans etc believe and assert that christianity is correct?
Another point that i would like to raise is that; even if christianity and judaism were the first monotheistic religions with original sets of teachings and principals (which they do and are not), it provides no basis for belief. It would be assuming that every original idea is correct

This doctrine is fallacy... Yahweh is not three distinct persons. He is ONE in essence and in person.
Who is to say other interpretations are wrong?

You have a body a soul and a spirit, are you three distinct persons or one person??
Are you using human standard or God's standard?
Does your God needs a body, a soul and a spirit?
The doctrine of the Trinity is an issue that I belive not all Christians agree on one single interpretations. While you believe the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit = Soul (?), body and spirit of God, others might not like the Mormons.
Thus the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years; and he died. - Genesis 5:5
This was passed down by word of mouth for don't know how many centuries and then written down in Hebrew, and then translated into English.
What does it originally mean?
Adam did not live on earth for the duration of 930 circumnavigation round the sun.
He live to a ripe old age, number unknown, he was mature and extremely well renowed and respected in the community he lived in. The 930 years is the gauge of his maturity and wisdom, respect and renown he received from the community he lived in.
Lee Kuan Yew would also in the same context be said to have lived nine hundred years.
Don't read the bible literary. Think about what it is trying to say.
