at least they don't call christianity devilish like how chrsitians call other religions satanic? Moreover he's a pastor, a religious leader,what kind of impact do u think it has and have u ever come across another religion leader making this kind of speech. I thought sunday service is to focus on Gospel and own faith instead of criticizing others? What kind of church is this do you say, and he's obviously flaming other religions without getting the facts right. Freedom of speech you say, how about accusations and deflamations. -

it's kinda drama, but great idea. Look how badly stirred is the religions in Singapore now. -
Look at malaysia, the word "AllAH".....riots and burns.....if that happen in malaysia, more riots and more temples being burnt and who knows, fight among the groups.
Luckily, pple understand, pple know that pastor are insenitive person, pple are mature and wont take matters to their hand. We are lucky to have mature and understanding pple in Spore.

Whether he did that in church or somewhere else he is still creating nuisance to other religions like inciting religious disharmony. such behaviour is not to be tolerated.
Rony should apologise to all buddhists and taoists in the whole world as well.

You sure Catholics wouldn't say that? Afterall you all practice the same religion that teaches you that non-believers goes to hell, the other religions are false (maybe even created by Satan) and you have to convert them to save them...
I mix around with both Catholics and Christians. So far, I only hear christians doing/saying it not the Catholics. Catholics are worshipping Mary's statue so they have no qualm about all these nuisance by christians.

u can try detecting any catholics who put things so bluntly. Yes we do learn to evangelise, but evangelism comes in many different ways. Mind that we don't criticise other religions but instead we share our faith and pray for people whom we think one day they should receive God's calling. So u mean in order 'not to be funny' i should support what the pastor say? I admit i've never been proud of getting put together with the christians in Singapore in general because of how they omit having respect for others. If i can't change them, i have to ignore them. What do u think?

it's right but that that right, cos we do worship Mary but not the statue, it's just that for remembrance and it's easier to focus on your prayers when there visual aids

If you're offended, I'm sorry that I grouped you and them together. Cause to me, you are all christians like you're a christian of the Catholic branch just like Sunni and Shia muslims are muslims just from different branches to me.

This is why I appreciate the CAtholics. During my last days of giving up on Christianity, I actually visited Catholic churches more than christian church. I meet nicer catholics compared to Christians. Many christians are just too judgemental but Catholics are not. -

Maybe I mix around with the wrong crowd, the Christians here seems to be be of the later than the former. -

OH I see, no problem, most of us know them by now. Even when I was a christians I was condemned, abused, betrayed by them. I longer keep any christian friends. Even my close christian friend has recently given up on christianity. -

it's okay, in actual fact we are the same but in reality catholics in Singapore would rather you don't group us together because our differences are growing over here and our practice is different and we don't call people satanic.
It's not that we never tried changing their mindset, but probably u can try talking to some christians and your words can't even enter in a slight manner. That is how badly they are brainwashed,however not all are like that. And anyway, their brainwashing is intensive and the numbers are growing, unless they receive enlightenment themselves nobody can enlighten them.
Ya, i heard much of that too. Hold on, they didn't get the facts right all the time when they discuss this issue with me. I don't know where they get their so called facts from when u couldn't find it in the bible, probably some knowledge the pastor passed down to them again.

that's the sign i have seen of the christians in Singapore.They don't focus on their faith or God's word,in fact they are taught the redundant stuff. Their faith in God is not as strong and thus they give up easily.
However, don't lose hope in christianity. The christians elsewhere is not like how Singapore christians behave. And there's different forms of christianity with different cultures, catholic and methodist are two of them.

It has got to do with the bible. Christians base on bible for the teaching and they point at Catholics for not doing so.From what I know Catholics do practise and follow the old testament.
Anyway, the bottomline is we can see which group of these people are nice , who are not.

There is nothing to do with faith for my friend and I. WE find that there are far too many loopholes in the bible and that the christians we meet in church and elsewhere in sg really add on to the problem. She and husband just accepted Christ and recently gave up. I am happy for them for it is such a relief.

ya they probably do ,but in a funny way. Like they like to say, no smoking because it harms the temple. But God didn't say that. Don't eat oily food then, it harms the temple too.The bible is not meant to be interpreted literally or bluntly. If everything they interpret literally that means we are all having incest with our brothers and sisters because Adam and eve are our parents all of us are blood related .LOL
