then they wont believe what they're preaching. Christians and Pastors should have a common understanding and a common trust that each of them will do their job and do it well.
First time I heard churches preach on $$$$.
I always thought people who want to be rich worship the devils instead of god... The virtuous always advice people to be frugal, hardworking and be contended while the wicked always promises riches and obtain success without hardwork
in insurance industry, they usually sell "love and care" for family members...they didn't sell or preach about money...thats too direct and may scare off people....
the gist of it is that many "non-profit" charity organisations would market or preach or campaign or whatever appropriate term one could use to raise funds....
the recent years have seen and exposed increasing inclinations of personal greed in the name of so called "love and care" or whatever phrase one could think of feasibly
women is also adept at using "love, care and security" to bait for fishes to turn them from chrysanthemum girl to Cinderella or Tai Tais...
all in all...preaching for $$$ in the name of glorified terms are common place....
No $$$$, no talk liao.
No $$$$, relatives and friends all siam you.
yeah.....baby...no $ no honey...
perhaps a new course on "How to preach tactfully while raising clean funds" should be set up and guide fellows in churches...or to possess "license to preach" or hold seminars with professional certifications accredited by govt...
certainly having public accountants to check on religious institutional accounts are in place... this should follow with statutory regulations on preachers as well on their conduct and presentations...if we come to such a stage..then really....something is to be done...
by the way....there are kind and good Christians or silent workers which deserve our praises and emulations....though i m not a Christian..my favourite saint has been St Francis....
