so what of everyone is correct, does it help to prevent people from dying, does it help with poverty in some poor countries? as mentioned earlier, if your prophesy can save 200,000 lives lost from the 2004 tsunamis, then its a good prophesy as its purpose saves lives. of the 2000 prophecies, how many of them did save lives and improve the quality of the people? if it did not serve a purpose, then whats the use of it? its just like seeing a fortune teller, he told me to avoid driving in december, but never tell me how to drive without any incident in december. whats the use of telling me that? if I drive in december, can he accurately tell me the exact date and time where the incident occur so that I can avoid driving that day, save the problem once and for all, isnt it.
So you actually believe that your purpose for being a human and coming to Earth is just for a holiday where nobody should die?
If the prophecies were to be given an exact date and time, would they even be fulfilled? Don't you know why God encodes bible prophecies(e.g beast= kingdom)? And if they were to be fulfilled literally, given an exact date and time, wouldn't God need to play with 6.8Billion lives on a chessboard?

that lies the paradoxes isnt it. you can point out this very clearly, but you cant even see there lies the paradox of the concept. alas, what you are doing is defending the concept, which the more you defend, the more paradox and incoherence it appear.

there are 2500 prophecies in the bible, and 2000 have been fulfilled. And fulfilling of the bible prophecy obviously means matching the case exactly as described in the bible, so your argument just falls flat on the ground.
What evidence do you have that its true? What evidence do you have that the prophecy is even true and not added on later. I also can wait for something to happen then say its a prophecy.
If i say 1 million things will happen and some of them become true, will you call me god? I can tell you someone will die today, someone will be born today etc etc, such stupid stuff will surely be true. Certain stuff i can anyhow say, it may happen 10yrs from now, 50yrs from now 100 yrs from now and once it happens, ppl say what i say is true. Talk crap who dunno? There are millions of crap that will happen sooner or later.
I can say a metoer will strike earth, the sun will explode, s'pore will sink into the sea, s'pore will 1 day be stronger than US etc etc, i can just talk crap but if the crap i say happens 1 day, ppl say i predicted the future. Thats so lame.

So whats ur purpose on earth? The so called god sent you to earth to come to this very forum on this very day to argue for his existence?
So all those ppl who died are because they served their purpose? What about babies who died stillborn? Is it god sent them halfway decided oh shit i sent wrong person, u have to die cos u have no purpose. Babies who die serves the purpose of coming to earth so that they can die by crying a few days/months/yrs of their life?
You're as naive as the kids that believed that by commiting suicide, they can become savers of the world to think everyone has a purpose to be born. Its obvious anything pass down from generations can be altered. Just like your school textbook has been altered all the time, do you even know what the 1st generation was like? Did you even know how many times its altered?
As long as i can destory the evidence that its altered, who knows what was before this version that i say was passed down from the past? All those stuff that people say belong to thousands of years ago especially writing are mostly too old to really be legible, i can just copy abit from there and add in the parts i want to make people believe its true.
How many people really got a chance to view the original copy if theres even such a thing to say that everything is real? Whoever will say he/she has is obviously lying since there is no way any writings, cravings etc can last for thousands of years and still be visible like new.

There are alot of things science can do and 1 of them is to fake the age of stuff. There was reports before of people using chemical methods to fake the age of bones and stuff found trying to bluff the communitee into believing that the bones and artefacts obtained are really old when it could be just a few hundred years old or even fresh.
Theres so many ways science can be used to manipulate things. For all you know the person who created the bible etc could be just some good alchemist who used his skills to create a book that looks old and historic so people started to believe in him and thus started all these fake prophocies and such that anyone can simply come up with.

Heaven is just a belief, theres no facts of its existence so its just lying to yourself that it even exist. People just too scared to die so make believe a place so that they feel better to die.

thats a very valid argument. can larry pls point out which are the 2000 prophesies that are true? are there substantiated by anyone?
if you say Jerusalem is true, then what about the other 1,999 prophesies that are true?

If there really is such a 'god' why are there so many beliefs, religion and culture all over the world? Today he happy hes jesus, yesterday he was thor, last week he was zues, last month he was jade emperor?

I started reading when you post it and I stopped reading fairly quickly. its all hogwash and clearly the writer is defending with his/her opinions which are full of flaws and incoherence. there is no need for me to even continue reading. silly and incoherence arguments.

the reply to that article is this. since you say god is omnipotent and cannot fail to create anything he wishes and he cant fail, then there lies this paradox. is there anything he cant create? the answer is no. but is there something he can create which he cant lift it up? so the answer to that is yes or no, just answer to this question. the writer is avoiding the question it seems. if this is not a paradox, I wonder what is. whats witholding you back from answering to this direct question.
