If science can lead physicists to abandon atheism, do you think that they are stupid too?
"Gravity is not about faith" because gravity comes with proof, observations, logical explanations and experiments.
"Gravity is not about faith" because faith is about conjecture, delusions, beliefs and baseless hope.
Science can lead physicists to abandon atheism? How? Which physicists?
That is the problem with religious people. They ask stupid questions without stating what science and which physicists. Just because some physicists say they abandon atheism, they jump on it without finding out what science and whether the physicists is misinterpreting data; what possible motives the physicists have in doing it and whether his explanations for doing it make sense....
Without even trying to find out the truth first and simply asking that kind of question is just plain stupid.

I am not ridiculing Christianity but seriously looking for answers. If I can get satisfactory answers from you guys, I will not stop one of my family member from going to church. If I cannot get any satisfactory answers to my questions, I will stop her from going to church and lead her to the right path. By the way, she is also looking at this website for you guys answers.

There is no need to bring your family member in here and use her as a "hostage".
This only shows that you are either not seriously looking for answers hence looking for them at the wrong place, or you are seriously not looking for answers.
Can someone give me some advise.
A friend of mine turn into christian. One day, her mum died. Her mum is not christian. There are jossstick to pray her mum. But her daughter told her siblings and uncles that she cannot take jossstick to pray her mum.
WTF! Without yr mum, will she be here attending church? Is jesus bigger than her mum? Her answer is something like she only pray for 1 GOD. Really feel like give her a big slap on her face!
This is totally unacceptable. Her mum raised her up from baby till a lady. Now, convert to christian, treat her mum like that? Go to hell!

There is no need for me to convince you for it is my family matter. I am a buddhist now, do you expect me to go to church or read bible to find answers which I am not interested at all and I doubt I will find answers from there. I might as well spend my time reading scriptures and going to the temple.

And still you won't find any plausible answers in a temple nor in Buddhist scriptures. The answers are out there for you to see and not in some special place.
When one is born, he is a buddha by heart.

why then do you seek others to satisfy you with answers if you are not interested in the answers?
why bring your family members out into the public as 'hostage' if you want to keep it as a private affair?
anyway... no need to convince me, I am not interested in your answer (ok, maybe a little bit curious ... haha..)
tsk
i say we ban vince

In this case, it may be more appropreiate to say "The answer is inside you, for you to discover"
(I suspect DawnFirstLight here, had the answer all along)
Which make me very curious... why would someone, seek answers that he had already had, but not interested in, in a place where he do not expect to find any answers?

My last reply to you on this issue. I mean I am not interested in spending my time going to church and read bible to find answers, too time consuming. I have some of the answers but not all. Even then, I am not satisfied with the answers. I just want to hear whether there are any other sayings.

This is a typical christian attitude. They are so scared of the truth, they will only cling on to what they have been told and chose to believe. Which of course, opens them to active manipulation by the "leaders".
Edited to add: BTW Vince69 comes from a church that practices religion for prosperity (if he has not switched) and the head of his church has no qualms taking more than 1/2 million a year from donations that are sold as "money for God". Case close (in the case of the church he attends) regarding "active manipulation by the "leaders""

hahaha are you serious in helping your family member find the truth or are you trying to get your family member to go from one religion to your religion of choice? hahahaha....
If you are serious about helping her, teach her Buddhist philosophy so she can think for herself instead of forcing Buddhists beliefs and practices on her.
believing in a divine being such as christianity, islam, hinduism etc, the chinese praying/worshipping of idols, they are all the same. as long as you have a concept of a creator being, they all fall under the category of deferring to supernatural.
Can someone give me some advise.

Maybe some pastor would like to tell my what is the reason behind this stupid idea from christian.
My dad and most of his family is Buddhist, when his mother died, i did not hold the joss sticks. But i prayed for her instead. Does that mean i am being disrespectful ?
You dont need a pastor to tell u why.
Because of ur feeble simple minded question can only beg simple answers, i will give it to you.
Christians do not worship anyone anything else except God. Holding the joss sticks and anything realting to worshipping an idol is considered as a breach of the 10 commandments.
Simple enough ?
"BADZ: Christians do not worship anyone anything else except God. Holding the joss sticks and anything realting to worshipping an idol is considered as a breach of the 10 commandments.

Holding a joss stick to pay respect to your late parents cannot meh? Did I mention holding a joss stick to worship certain idol? Hello...your parents, not a idol. After all so many years bring you up, just a simple holding a joss stick in front of your parents will kill you?
Simple enough?
Sigh!

scared of the truth? and what is the truth? the truth of the matter is god was created in the minds of man, invented and concocted so that there is a divine being higher than humans so that in times of trouble and misery, man can seek emotional release & support from the pent up frustrations built up in their everyday lives.

Fred Hoyle was one of them. Besides physicists, there are also philosophists who abandoned atheism.

Wait till she finds that your asshole has been violated because you bounced your head of prayer mat and stick your ass in the air to attract attention.
