Why christainity is a real religion

I have to admit it was not a very skillful descision to paste the entire chapter in my first post to the topic. I only wanted to highlight the miracles argument. However, those are arguments against *some* of the evangelist's flawed arguments. It is not exactly an argument against God, but arguments against the validity of some explanations used to 'proof' God to Buddhists, by stating and explaining why such 'proof' are not necessarily proofs of God.

In Buddhism, life is not an illusion but like an illusion, vivid yet ungraspable. There is a big difference between 'life is an illusion' and 'life is LIKE an illusion'. Because if it is truly an illusion or a dream, life will end and some other reality will appear when we wake up or attain enlightenment, but in Buddhism, the world rightly seen is enlightenment.
We do not deny life, we reject a mistaken view of life, as something static, fixed, separate, graspable. Life is something dynamic, ungraspable, ever changing, without center or circumference. There is no reference point you can point to called 'me'. Life IS everything. When there is no grasping on a false separate 'me', no dividing into a 'me in here' vs 'universe out there', there is no suffering. There is no longer a holding onto a dead image of what 'me' or what 'life' is, no boundaries, no bondage, no suffering.
Everything is vivid, but ungraspable like a mirage on the horizon. If we investigate, we cannot find a permanent entity called 'me' that truly exists inherently, there is just an everchanging stream of sensate reality that is ungraspable, and nevertheless vivid and clear.

In Buddhist worldview, gods and deities are still under samsara and are not higher than Buddha. A Buddha has transcended even the highest realms of the devas and they take him as a teacher. A Buddha has the powers to go to any realms (which as explained, he did), and in fact is a deva from the Tushita heaven in his immediate past life, but chose to come to Earth to attain Buddhahood to guide innumerable sentient beings to enlightenment and liberation out of compassion.

whats new? christians like him are an extremist lot, assailing other religions as satanic and telling non believers you are going to hell and salvation is through Jesus only. if this is not ranting nonsense, I dunno what is.

what was he trying to say? I have no clue whatsoever. he must have failed in his intended message/comments. if the recipient of the messages have no idea what the message was, he must have failed miserably. a troll he is no doubt, but also a bad communicator.

And so far, most of the Christians I know do not participate in forums and those who did, did not last very long......cause they are sick of what they read and it's a waste of time.

something that i notice is that christians rarely do go onto nontheist forums to post and vice versa, since the christian or nontheist will just be bashed on by the majority. so seldom would you get a chance to have a decent religious conversation online.

point taken on board, but a valid one nevertheless. thats the problem with creationist, got so many never ending questions on the creator, yet no satisfactory answers obtained. I got a christian friend who told me, whatever questions you have, after you die, god will tell you and I was like........

I did propose that god, if he exists in whatever our limited knowledge of him is, is to be held fully responsible for everything if he is to be omnipotent, omnipresent
so far no christians are able to answer to me on this point

someone accused me of lying that god doesnt exists and ask me for proof? that fellow cited that the bible, men doing god's work like christians charitable organisations are proof that god exists.
shouldnt it be that, since you say god exists, shouldnt the onus be on you to proof rather than vice versa. how am I to show proof when it something does not exist. if god exists, show hand please.

woah, i am abt to say the same thingyou only prove what you propagate, the onus is on you to bring up the evidence and not ask people to prove you something doesnt exist
i said the same thing for multi level marketers many times too when they ask me to prove their products dont work, i mean like harlo, you sell something you jolly well prove it works

No offence but sorry to inform you that this is not true in the case of Christianity. If you do not accept Christ by faith then thats where you are going. Nothing a man can do to go to heaven for all man have sinned and therefore fall short of the glory of God.
You cannot enter by works but only by grace (i.e. getting what you do not deserve - the free gift of Christ)
As I mentioned before in another thread.
Hate = Murder - Hell
Lust = Adultery - Hell
Lie (White Lies Included) = False Witness - Hell
Does anyone still think they pass the test??
