Why can't Christian stuffs be free?

It saddens me that my friend who is unemployed keep buying Christian CDs and DVDs at a very expensive price.I have advised him to buy a handphone or computer instead but he won't listen.One DVD he bought cost 32 dollars which can buy a 2nd hand handphone already.

My friend only reads Christian books in the library.I told him he can borrow 2 audio- visuals for free.He don't want.Actually library also have Christian audio-visuals but he only borrow the books .

Maybe you should buy him instead once or twice. Your friend seems to be thirsty for God.
But knowing the bastardly habit of Singapore dogs I must admit I suspect your sincerity on posting this. I'm not accusing you of being one just that it is a possibility since you do post a weird thread. -
I mean if you question why Christian stuffs not be free then you should question why the Buddhist stuffs are not free either and you should question why you should spend money on joss sticks and you should question why muslims should pay hard earned money to go on Mekkah pilgrimage or why should they spend money on building their mosque.

There's nothing wrong in buying a couple of good Christian books or DVDs but if one is in a dire financial situation and make it their habit then you may have a problem.
All Christian have to do in order to know God is to be faithful and true to him or herself. But you can't find God in a book even in the bible you find God in your life. And that's only going to happen if you are faithful and true. God doesn't wait for a person to be perfect and only then enter his or her life, but faithfulness and being true is required before anyone knows God. Many people don't have the patience some had their faith weaken after a time and stop hoping to see God in their life. Many become apostate but keep on going to church for whatever reason one of them is to look good but they will not see anything from God in their life but sadly this even makes their apostasy worse in time.

A few especially those who are in severe crisis come to see God to be faithful and merciful and loving. These people are often the smallest among people but to them God reveals Himself as their God.

This particular religion is a good source of livelihood for many.
A pastor can have a decent living by the $ contribution from his/her flock. Every Sunday, he need to coax and glorify some of the weirdest scribbling from an ancient scripture. Sometimes, a wax broke out somewhere, or natural disaster strike somewhere. He calls for donation. Good karma. But he also take a small cut so that he can earn a living. What a good job is it.
