to be able to say God doesn't exist means that you already know about all things, from the skies above to the deep waters. to be able to understand all things makes you God. well you obviously isn't God so you can't say God doesn't exist.

I bet you dun like Islam view of Jesus as prophet isnt it. Bhagavad Gita's view, u want to know? They view historical religious figures like jesus, mohammad, buddha as an incarnation and manifestation of their god. When I first heard this, I was like, well ok. you have your own paradigm, but please stick to your own religion paradigm, people outside may not share your views.
the question is this, all the religions all say their god is true and others are false, how are you going to counter that claim?

you are right. there is no point in debating. it will never end. we both believe our own are right. if you read the sticky, this forum isn't meant for such as well. there are even some immature trolls around also (you know who you are...) without respecting others.
anyway no offence but you do know this is eternal hope forum right? so like you are kind of asking for it lol. but if all such topic is in other forums such as chit chat, well feel free to tear the lumps out of each other just count me out. :)

of cos science and technology is not everything, but didnt it dispel a lot of myths. I give you an example, in the chinese folklore, moon is an abode for change er isnt it. imagine the astronauts reaching moon in the 1960s and that myth was dispelled.
didnt copernicus dispel the myth that the earth was round and not square. at that time, the churches wanted to kill him cos of this. they think that how is it possible to live on a round planet, instead of square. didnt science prove right that earth was round and not square. earthquakes are not acts of god isnt it, so is raining and lightning.
certainly science does reveal alot of things thru research and exploration and help explain to us. would you rather believe in these age old myths and steeped in ignorance?

as for relationships, humans need to work hard at them. it is not good enough to just fall in love and then hope everything falls into place, happy after.

Buddhists believe in heaven and hell (in their own definition) and these are not dependent on devas (gods)
we must assume god-heaven-hell link is true before we talk about existence of god and therefore existence of heaven and hell
