Is there only one god?

I understand from my friend whos a christian that told me they only believe in one god. Does that mean that the god in other religion doesn't exist?

There is as many as you choose to believe in and none if you choose not to believe in them. Simple as that.

heheh. Im a buddhist. I won't deny that there is god. And i won't deny that there is christian god. So im thinking are they actually the same?
What about the different teachings? Of course all religion serve with one purpose in mind. To better humanity no?

I believe there is only 1 God , Jesus.
All others are lies , old old long lived lies.
All other forces out there are fallen angels, or angels of God.
He is a loving God, he loves everyone and died for the world for our sins.
As for the trinity, I honestly dont understand it clearly, if he is the son of God or God himself, so there is Mystery, but I really feel his Holy spirit when I speak to Jesus,
Theirs Power in the name of Jesus and I believe we must only call on the name of Jesus, he is the way , the truth and the life, no one can go to the father but by him, he said this, in a verse and I can even find this verse if anyone wants me to.I dont remember where it is but I can google search it.

What sweetcaroline said is true... Lets face it, is there any god in this world that claims that they have died, risen from the dead and is still living even till this day? Yup, other that the one true God, Jesus, no other gods did, or are even alive to prove it.

then will be correct
your beliefs as buddhist has granted you a more accepting person (that you won't deny there is christian god) as opposed to your christian friend as a more exclusivist person (whom told you they only believe in one god)
you may think it's the same as them, whether they think it's the same as you is another matter

g14 Im not hurting anyone so I dont think so.
Some say that Jesus is just a prophet sent by God and that we can go to God in many ways , thru Budda, islam or other ways,
But these verses clearly states in the bible that in 1Timothy 2:5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, Christ Jesus.( It said 1 .)
John 14:6
Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and the life, no one can come to the father but by me.(So he said he is the way, the truth and the life, no one can come to the father but by him.)

Perhaps there is only 1 God, but surely such a being is too vast for any human to fully comprehend.
Saying only the Christianity's version of it is the only valid one seems to be rather typical of human arrogance.

I believe einstein once said that buddhist is the only religion that will carry on the teaching of humanity. ( or somewhere along that line. Can't really remember everything.)
Im not trying to promote buddhism btw.
I have been to the city harvest service and understand that they invoke one very powerful emotion. Gratitude. Emotion moves people. Even i who's not a christian starts to believe in the power of it.

Well actually being a Chrisitian, I believe that Buddha existed, so did the Mohammed, Joseph Smith, Chairman Mao, Hitler, and Charlas Darwin
Even if they do exist it don't not mean their doctrine is right, they are simply misled. If you are a buddhist, muslim, mormon,communist,nazi or a atheist, I respect that.
Do a detailed check [not just wiki] on all the other "holy book" and the Bible and you will see which make sense more.
The Bible is the one book that does not contricted at all [I view "the orgin of species" as a joke book because i actually read it and it is really funny]. Plus all those historical facts that sticks with it. Every Charater in the Bible existed as much as Hitler or Chairman Mao existed.

lol. i used to read up on various religious beliefs and myths - even greek and norse myths.
