Historically, children were baptised when they were young. When they grow older and develop a better understanding of their faith, they undergo a confirmation of their faith by retaking the vows (if they choose to do so).
It is as simple as that.

Confirmation plus baptism? Different denomination and even churches within denomination will have different practices la.The camp is to bring the participants to a same level of understanding on the fundamental teachings, and to know each other for future fellowship, i guess.
But i think camps can also be different, some more dramatic than others.

I think it depends on whether you're a Calvinist or... Amenian? You know what i mean.For those who think that the baptism is a "guarantee, chop" for the child to get to heaven no matter what the child decides to do with his or her life when they grow up, then infant/child baptism makes sense.
But i'm of the view that baptism as an adult is more meaningful, cuz it's the adult making a conscious choice and going through the process of baptism.
