question as above.
commandments...
God commanded..
you disobey..
what the hell is that called?
certainly, you need a visit from Obviousman!
Hahaha... Visit from Obviousman~
But anyway... Yes, commandment is the law, and law needs to be obeyed~
Its sin to not obey the 10 Commandments... but doesn't mean we're "safe" as long as we obey the 10 Commandments... Jesus explains further... for example, one of the 10 Commandments says "You shall not commit adultery"... Jesus says that if you even look at a person's wife with lust, you already committed adultery in your mind...
Following Jesus is not easy, but that's the way to go...

But Bible states that God put the governments in authority over the citizens, hence if the state declares war for whatsoever reason, does it countermand the command of not killing?

Read the bible starting from 1 Samuel to 2 Chronicles...
There were lots of examples of kings who did not follow the will of God... Their ending are written in it...
Just to summarize in case you couldn't be bothered to read it up... Their empire ended up being taken over, because they do not follow the commands and the way of God...
NO.

But who is sinning? The soldiers who had to kill due to duty or the ruler who decides that war is justifiable?

So we might as well remove our brains since looking will trigger our natural lust.

"There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you - who are you to judge your neighbor?" (James 4:12)
Good day...

But can we first judge ourselves?

It's looking "with lust"...
I think if we're single, looking at a woman, thinking that she's beautiful, it's ok. Making friends, getting to know. It's ok. But if we indulge and the thoughts lead to... xxx, then that's sin.
If we see a woman who's married, and think of "potong jalan", that's sin.
So it's not just "looking" la. As you put it, our brains will trigger "natural lust"... but if we indulge and entertain the thought, it may lead to sin.

It's a matter of how quickly we recognise that the looking has moved from looking to lusting... then immediately discipline your mind to look away and stop entertaining the thought. With practice, the switching becomes quicker.
Christians are not sinless, we (try) to sin less. All of us, Christians and non, will be tempted; Jesus was tempted. But it's a matter of how quickly we identify the temptation, and reject it.

How about removing the part of your brains that is connected to lust?
AhCye...Jesus was tempted? I thought he's God...free from temptations?
Christianity is more than obeying the 10 commandment

Yes, Jesus was tempted by the Devil in the desert.

I know it is there since the hormones are triggered, but due to my disease, the neurons flow are blocked.
